Can we give @baraettmattesvensson a trial period as a Mod? A week's trial, in which he is barred from mentioning key words including "stalker" and "olive coat" and "Fanny"
Is there a forum I can post on called 'Not Elfsborg'? Every thread is about him now. I came on here with the cheerfull intention of slating Richard Murray, but if I do it will break up the ongoing conversation. Richard Murray is a regime stooge, and his health issues don't affect that. Neither does Elfs clothing. A casual visitor to the forum would confuse it with the Lord of the Rings. Please can we keep Elfs clothing in its own thread, or some sort of closet?
Getting back to Murray, David Smith's posts at the weekend were very insightful. This from someone who sat on the Board with Murray, but like just about everyone else on that Board at the time we are now led to believe has lost respect for "Muzza". Particularly damning are the insights into his huge "ego", which again ring true as he only needs to hang around to get his money back when we are in the Premier League - which currently looks about as likely as Don Trump joining Women's Lib. When Murray's illness was announced in the summer there was total unanimity in wishing him the best with his health, even though many also pointed to his disastrous record. That really would have been the ideal opportunity for RM to slink away, with 5% of his integrity still intact. He just could'nt bring himself to do it, could he? Like a moth drawn to the light, or Reams drawn towards a can of lager, Murray just had to come back again because according to Dave Smith he is "obsessed" with the Club and really believes that he is integral to its success. In Muzza's World of Delusion Curbs is still manager, we are 4th in the Premier League and selling out 27,000 seats at home How does the deluded fool square the circle between the "voice of the fans" [PMSL] and yet sitting between Meire and Sue Parkes at every game. I first said it 10 years ago on Your Views on the O/S - "MURRAY OUT"
Not to pour scorn on his comments, but some have to come with a pinch of salt. Varney wanted Howe, slater wanted Powell.
He did. Same time as he did palace. Slater then went for CP. There are a few gushing articles about how the move came together out there. Powell talking about walking around London in disbelief after slater offers him the job.
To be fair Chris Wilder would have been a good choice, if they'd had the gumption to make sure they got him.
Ex Murray-era cheerleader and Charlton staffer turns on Murray. Not before time. This Club will never properly move on until Richard Murray has left the building.
Hardly a vicious and vitriolic attack on RM is it? RE has been far more negative over the past four years.
It almost seems as though Robinson has been chosen by Roland for this scenario. His garrulous persona makes him an ideal human shield. Even before the CEO jumped ship he was performing this role. All his previous praise for the regime is now coming back to bite him on the bum. He can't say he wasn't warned.
The Apologists tell us that we can’t sign players “because Duchatelet is selling the Club”. So why is he allowed to sell players ?
Very much my take Mr Hypocrites. KR said that he had told various clubs that Charlton are not trading. That would appear to be either a bit disingenious, or a lie - we are not buying, but the rumours about sales continue to abound. Maybe we can stretch a point, as another rumour said a sale of the club was within days last week, but has hit a snag and now looks unlikely until february. Even so, selling off the better players (both Holmes and Konsa would be considered in the top flight of our professionals) would seem to both hit the value of the club as well as render DD as a pointless affair. What the F is going on?
Can't sign players because we(Roland) won't spend any money. Did Robinson really believe "The January transfer window can't come soon enough"? Only a few deluded fans (mentioning no names) ever believed we would come out of January with a stronger squad. Robinson's cheery optimism has got us so far, but has well and truly hit the buffers.
