I think England need to bat all day tomorrow to stay in this test, and effectively stay in the Ashes. They do not want to be chasing a deficit in

yes they do. they need to just focus on saving it... which is why IMO they will collapse.

If I was Smith , I would enforce the follow on , Declaring in the first innings of an Ashes test match and then enforcing the follow on , must surely be the ultimate humiliation for the opposition ?
