rain saves England temporarily. stoneman gone. rain saves a few wickets in the darkness..... oh dear. this is only going one way.
mark.butcher says the pitch won't worry england.... I fully expect to wake up to an England batting collapse.... **** sake like.... shut up when it's a scrape a draw first innings.
I think England need to bat all day tomorrow to stay in this test, and effectively stay in the Ashes. They do not want to be chasing a deficit in the second innings. Massive 3rd day tomorrow, so soon in the series.
we've recovered but the food on is irrelevant imo as Aussies were always just going to see another 400 and then bowl.
woakes? It's what was expected... the minute butcher mouthed off about it being easy i thought here we go... It's pish as per. this ashes will be lost and a whitewash is on the cards
tbh... as this is day and night test... I think I would bowl again if I were them... I think they might skittle half of us under lights. the 20 odd runs needed for follow on are absolutely crucial
In reply to your first quote , Yes Woakes as well . If I was Smith , I would enforce the follow on , Declaring in the first innings of an Ashes test match and then enforcing the follow on , must surely be the ultimate humiliation for the opposition ? Oh , do you get lonely on here !
Aussies skittled. What an error by smith. 354 for England win... impossible due to England's battling collapse... but... can they bat long enough?
cook is a home town player. he's not really been great on tours. he like a particular type of ball and shot and in effect mad3 his career of cutting the ball and hes been done loads.
