Sound's interesting, do they do breakfast??
I believe they'd be happy to throw up on the floor and let you lick it clean, yes.

don't think even Carver's'll do that these days! Eh up, double apostrophe there, don't get over-excited!Nowhere with more realistic prices like 3 courses for a fiver?
If you think the Green Dragon is rough you must be a complete ponce.
South Bermondsey my arse, you’re probably from Pimlico.
Carmine, my memory is not the most reliable part of me but was it you who dissed a Chinese eatery on here a couple of years ago only for the owner to sign up and take you to task. Ended up scoring a free meal?
It might have been Chazz mind.
Put me straight.
I've looked at the White Swan menu and not too keen. Going to check out the Kings Head on Saturday. CheersTwo very good options close to Howden - The White Swan at Bubwith and The King's Head at Barmby on the Marsh. Both excellent for a relaxed family meal and both scoring consistently high review ratings. Well worth giving their websites a check.

He said he was able to travel.Kinnell, we’ve got everything from McDonalds to Michelin Star (Dalton’s nowhere near Howden).

I always wondered who in ****ting crikey eats those?
I’m not being a McDonald’s snob - I’m as partial to 2 quarterpounders with cheese as anyone - but I had a breakfast once and it was literally the ****test thing I have ever eaten. It was like different shaped polystyrene
A pal of mine used to take his business clients to Loftsome Bridge but always uses the King's Head these days - we really love their "Yorkshire Tapas".We went to the King's Head a few weeks ago for the first time and the food was absolutely spot on.

I travel to people's houses and cook dinner parties but glasgow area lolI'm after a bit of help please. I was supposed to be booking a meal for my mum's 70th and was looking at Loftsome Bridge just outside of Howden Unfortunately they're fully booked. Has anyone got any recommendations they can offer? I've got a party of 10 to sort out (including a 12 year old) in or around the Howden area but don't mind travelling in towards Hull if necessary.
Really after somewhere with a good selection of decent home cooked stuff in a nice setting.
Thanks for you help.
What do you expect? Even as a proud Englishman/Briton, I cannot deny that most Englishmen/Britons are ******ed. This is especially true when it comes to food.
People eat some real crap, including in some of the places mentioned in this thread. Just because somebody mixes some herbs with their broccoli they think it's Michelin-quality, because they're so used to eating bland, boiled-to-mush rubbish with powdery gravy made with ration-era style granules.
Also why do people say they're having a 'roast beef dinner' when it has in fact been baked until it so dry that it resembles Gandhi's proverbial flip-flop?
Adored!!! **** me it's a bit of dinner or tea.Well, tbf the judges decide if it’s Michelin quality.
I’ve been massively underwhelmed at some starred places and adored non-starred ones.
