Well he was there last night, it might be cos the swedish league doesnt start till first week of April? Febbos will know!I read in Hdm yesterday about some ferriby player who left for a swedish/danish club and I believe it said something about first week of april.

The league starts in the middle of April....17th or something like that

"....some ferriby player...." you mean "....some ex Hull City player......"?

Potential for the future?

i d say excellent potential but as always, i dont know what his salary expectation would be at this stage of his career and this could be a bigger determinant of whether he stays or not. I reckon he could earn a good living at 70% of the Championship clubs right now if he was able.

Aye hold my hands up, but was before I started supporting city to be fair. I can admit unlike some of the bellends who ring in on blunderside saying i've supported city since 23 BC and then spout some drivel. Im sure you can forgive me this time ;)

No accusations from me. Just information really. If we d all been there since 23 bca then we would never have played against Hartlepool in front of 2000 odd people

What is Akpan size wise? As if Olly could tackle in CM and put his weight about he would of being a cracking player but he never did for us and i think we are lloking for someone in the mould of win the tackles....

I like the way we take plenty of players on trial and look to build a side around youth players, i think in the next few years we will see plenty of youngsters coming to us, quite a few may failbut due to there age you may get a superstar!

for a 19 year old kid, I thought Akpan looked like a junior oli type player. I have to say I was personally impressed with his power and distribution but i just hope (get it?) that we can afford him when others rtealise he is in the market

Id certainly be happy with that on last nights showing. Would'nt mind Deacon aswell, he had something about him!

deacon didnt have the same instant impact on my opinion but i d like to see more of him. he tired as the game went on, or indeed became less effective. akpan is a shoe in for me if we can get him at the right wage level

Id definitely agree with that about Deacon Mussie, maybe needs some match fitness. Im sure he will be looked at in more detail.

Im just curious on what Akpans first team involvement may be if he gets one. Not really an impact player I imagine, but then big Nige does trust his youngsters so maybe a start could be on the cards (In good time).
