Are we? How many injured players have other teams got? I'm not being deliberately obtuse about this, I would like to know if we are being as unlucky as people say or is it just the case that if you say it enough everyone believes it? Jelavic and Diame, yes - big losses - but Robertson, Hernandez, Rosenior and now Chester have been regularly dropped this season when fit, so can we count them as big misses? So are we really only missing 2 of our first XI players? Maybe 3 if you count one of Rosie or Robertson tends to play.

Every team gets to name a 25 man squad and in that 25 you should make sure you have enough to cope with injuries.

3/4 Injuries maybe, but not 7/8 consistently. Every time we get someone back and fit (Aluko & Ramirez) we are then getting injuries to other players (Bruce & Chester). If you add up the amount of players over the course of the season who have missed a game due to injury we would probably have the most in the Premier League, Arsenal would be up there as well, but they have the youth team/reserves to cope, we don't as it is Championship standard at best.

We have more injuries currently, than any other other Premier League Team...

How's this for a prediction:
QPR will lose their first 18 away games this season only to win their final game at Leicester, with City to lose at home to Man U and still stay up ?
It's bloody tight.

edit: This was intended to be a response to Meyho's post #43....dunno why it's not showing his post

Be interesting to add all the days injured of the players of the teams, think we'd be winning by a country mile. If you take 9-10 players out of everyone would be struggling, and to be fair those players missing are first teamers. I had a lil optimism about our plight till Chester was injured. With Davies form, and watching Maguire and Dawson play together we're doomed.

All interesting stuff, thanks for the research OLM. I will continue to say though, in my opinion the only guaranteed starters we are or have been missing are Jelavic, Hernandez and (until recently) Dawson. The others are very much bit part players. Is it the number of injuuries you get or who is injured? Say for example if Mcgregor, Elmo and Livermore were injured instead of Aluko, Ramirez and Robertson then we'd have a genuine injury crisis.

You've missed Diame, I'd have him top of the list.

Our injury plight is getting some attention now...

There were injuries to Alex Bruce and James Chester for Hull yesterday. Here is their current injury list #SSNHQ

Ah yeah, I mentioned him earlier but forgot him in this list. I think I meant him rather than Hernandez cos the latter isnt a definite starter at all. So it's still the same number of first choicers injured.

I'd agree with Ricardo's post on the physio thread, we could arguably put out a better team with just injured players...

Rosenior, Bruce, Chester, Robertson
Snodgrass, Ramirez, Diame, Brady
Jelavic, Hernandez

Aluko started upfront yesterday so is not injured, Ramirez isn't injured, he just wasn't fit enough to start yesterday. Poor research from SSN. You wouldn't of thought the game was live on sky. <doh>

Apart from the fact that this team has no goalkeeper... <laugh>

But Bruce seemingly doesnt agree as he has regularly dropped all of these bar Jelavic, Diame and Snodgrass.

I think it'll be tight but we'll stay up just, I've been optimistic in the games we've lost, however I feel that we have the means to win a number of the remaining games at home & at least one away. It's unfortunate, that a lot of our winnable games are coming up when we have all these injuries, I'm convinced we'll do it though.

Injuries are definitely hurting us, with a fit Jelavic, Diame and Robertson we wouldn't be in the bottom 3, I'm sure of that.

Still optimistic looking at the fixtures - QPR, Burnley, Sunderland, Villa at home plus Palace & Leicester away all winnable.
