We are bloody awful!! And what's the most frustrating, is that it's so damn predictable! We play well for a good 20 min our so, should be out of sight, actually manage to get the lead (through sheer class of Cabaye), then manage to completely throw it away.

As has been said, we're on top and should be looking to put a bit of breathing space between us and Reading and Pardew makes the most defensive substitutions he could (short of playing all defenders).

I can't wait to see the drivel he comes out with now. "Well, I had my best players out, but they're not good enough. I need reinforcements now, or we're in real danger of relegation."
Seriously. Ashley = Hitler, Llambias = Himmler or Heydrich (you decide) and Pardew is definitely Goebbels.

You can hand this fool Barcelona's squad, and he would manage to marginalise all of them (while probably shagging all of their wives) and churn out the same dross we keep being spoon fed! He couldn't motivate an ugly, spotty virgin to get laid in a brothel!!

The more this season goes on, the more last season seems like luck, than judgement.

This by no means a knee-jerk reaction either - I've been saying this for ages now.

No to RDM in my opinion. He had no say on Chelsea's starting XI. It was basically chosen by Lampard, Terry and Drogba. Adkins would be the best choice I reckon. Top manager.

Chatting on here a couple of days ago, I said that Reading were the worst team we have played up till now, I reckoned it would be an easy 3 points for you lot today. As it is You have lost to at home, that is quite worrying, I still think, there are worst teams than you. Replace Ba quickly and hang on to Colo. Not being arrogant as I do not consider we are not out of trouble yet, we still need 12 points and must get another striker in this window

As far as replacements go, I'm going to throw the name of Lee Clark into the mix. I know he's not exactly setting the world alight at Birmingham, but he has been doing the job in difficult circumstances. Which would at least prepare him for working with our facist regime.

But above all, he would want the job and would do everything possible to get us out of trouble. Motivation definitely wouldn't be a problem with Lee, and I think he would try and get the team playing to it's potential, rather than trying to play long ball, which we clearly aren't any good at!

The main reason I suggest Clark, is that he is a realistic option. I know most Toon fans would want someone with a bit more pedigree. But let's be honest, the chances of us attracting a Laurent Blanc, or Ottmar Hitzfeld are beyond remote.

Anyway, things can only get better?!

Pardew was always brought in as a yes man. After last season has he not earned the right to see this season through and prove himself. It sounds like he is a dead man walking. I've been told from a friend that knows Krul that Colo' is a different player to last season, he was setting an example in training etc. Apparently this year he has stormed off the training 3-4 times. He also admitted to pardew that he wasn't trying against Man Utd. Maybe it would be beter to ship him out? Who are you guys looking to buy. New signings are vital for you now.

I don't understand why people have changed their opinions of Ashley so quickly. You did exactly the same thing in the 2011 summer and people were calling Ashley/Llambias shrewd operators and owners and hailing them for ensuring Newcastle would be self sustainable in future.. Most people saw the danger of relying on free transfers and cheaper transfers to hit the ground running but it was all dismissed.

The plan was all along to recruit the bare minimum and spend as little as possible. The only thing that changed was the fact that recent transfers haven't hit the ground running like they did last summer plus you've suffered a lot of injuries this season but injuries are always a risk when you have such a small squad.

Not saying you personally have changed your opinion of him but an awful lot of people were supportive of him lst season and have now turned against him again.

    That's just not true.

They spent shrewdly a year ago in the winter, they spent very shrewdly 18 months ago in the summer. It was underinvestment this summer. Anita was a decent signing but the Newcastle lads on here knew they needed one or two others of that standard.

    This.
We were 2 players short this summer, a CB and a RB.

Aston villa winning 2-0 says something about our dire position.

I've tried really hard this season not to slate Pardew and give him my backing, but i just dont feel i can do it anymore. the substitutions were very, very puzzling. The players also look out of sorts, like they've lost confidence in him.

I'm not saying Pardew out, but something has got to give. Sign who you like, they're going into a squad who are totally drained of confidence.

    Agreed.

Before I just thought they were going through a rough patch - bad luck, injuries etc. certainly seems like players can't be arsed. Which is a huge worry - a kind of 'if we get relegated, we'll just **** off to another prem club' attitude.

I see Remy scored for QPR. That'll be a $1billion bonus.

Your options are the same as they were last season, and no one was complaining about a lack of right back + centre back last season!!

Mike Ashley took the gamble last season of going into the season with 1 right back and 3 centre backs and not investing on players in those positions, it paid off. This season he tried the same and it hasn't.

lack of signings could cost us
So on friday the transfer window closes and i believe we are wafer thin as it so what is plan b if we sell on of the top players?

Last yr we lost out to champions league due due to strenght and depth and imo we are just as bad but now we have this mickey mouse eufa cup to play with.

    Look at the date ???

Now **** of to Brighton or were ever you have crawled from ya cretin

I HAVE GRILLED MORE BIRDS THAN GEORGE FORMAN
