What is/was Kevin Bond's role exactly. I assume using American football parlance that Jordan was responsible for the Or fence and Bond for the D fence. If that's right can't we just take him out at dawn...............
I disagree that the timing is terrible. Perhaps wrongly, I am giving credit to TF for this. Not sacking HR & then refusing to give him any money to spend, knowing that he will then walk. That has saved compensation. Please, no rushing into naming a replacment. Take your time & get it right for the long term. I was a lot better person to work with this afternoon!
Why is it selfish? Where health and well being is concerned, surely that comes before football or QPR. This from the horses mouth, seems to suggest he DID have QPR's interests at heart. Suggests he wanted to give it a go despite his knee problems. "'I can't even walk the dogs. I stand watching the team play, and I'm struggling. It's reached a point where I can't ignore it any longer. It's not a decision I would take lightly. I've thought about it a few times this season, but have always decided to give it one last go."
It's selfish because knee problems don't just come on suddenly over night...he's had problems for a while. He could have resigned earlier and given a new manager a chance to bring some players, but he didn't. He gave himself every opportunity to succeed, but he didn't, and made sure the next manager will have a tough time too.
My view entirely. Had he gone after the Palace game we'd have had the whole window to give a new manager a chance to at least get two or three players in, instead we've got a West Ham reject who knows we tried to get shot of him yesterday... Then again, if his knees are gone he hasn't walked but limped away...
As someone who also needs knee replacements through accidents and injuries Harry has my sympathies. The constant pain and and inability to be properly mobile is soul destroying. Thank god Fernandes has had the nous to skip Hoddle for next manager.
I think Sherwood would keep us up, but I wouldn't be happy if he comes in on a longer contract than till June. I still believe that Les was brought in for the job of taking over after Harry. Sherwood/Les until the end of the season and then Les and whomever he wants as his back room staff after that would be my choice.
Thanks to Harry for beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and for Wembley......two days never to be forgotten. Now to look forward. We need a very good coach to make the most of what we have now, a manager yes but someone who understands the game and how to get the best out of every player. Rangers yesterday, now and for ever!!! Come on your Rssssss!!!!!!
This maybe a big plus for us, new manager coming in and 2 away games against Sunderland and Hull. I'm sure we will pick up at least 4 points against these. Hull are cr*p at home and are in free fall with Bruce in charge.
Sherwood has been for a number of jobs and not got them which you have to question. JB as player/manager to the end of the season then Laudrup from somewhere in Qatar. Think people will eat there words about Arrys departure can now only see one conclusion. He has been done over like a kipper so fair play for getting one back
This of course assumes that Tony would have given a new manager funds - he thinks the team are ok and just need better motivation and tactics doesn't he? Moreover who would this 'new' manager have pulled in on a tight budget or loans - Carlton Cole? Adebayor who clearly does not want to play for anyone? The truth is that the January window is now a waste of time - most of the chairman have now worked out (finally) that they will pay through the nose for mediocrity and are not playing ball anymore.
Well, l'm totally shocked that Harry has decided to leave us at this point of time. I have been pro Harry since his appointment but my confidence in him has been eroded by his lack of judgement in many ways. What l do not understand or can accept, is his total lack of respect for the club as a whole, in leaving now. As many of you have stated, his knees were stuffed long ago and could have gone sooner to let a new manager in and to get new players in. To give the club a chance to survive. No, by holding off till after Xmas, after the window, he has decided to be the ultimate prick by leaving us in a no win situation. What a selfish prick!
"'I can't even walk the dogs to the bank, I stand watching the team play, and I'm struggling to remember what I am doing here. It's not a decision I would take lightly. I've thought about it a few times this season, but still cannot decide which golf club to join but have always decided to give it one last go to double my pension. Did he really admit that
