The commentator who kept calling us Hal and couldn't pronounce any name that was harder than Smith is, imo, as thick as pigshit.
I agree.
His remarks about Tufan and his gloves, short sleeved shirt and mild weather were unprofessional.
What was even worse was his attempts to pronounce Ozan’s surname. I’m sure I heard 3 different versions, none of which were right. What a twat.

Slater pish? Shows how clueless you are. Didn't you see his goal?
He was **** aside from that not sure why Ros is persisting with Seri next to Slater in the middle. Can’t be by in the championship with 2 of the least physically imposing midfielders in the division playing together without some physicality alongside

Reading manager Paul Ince told BBC Radio Berkshire:

"It's not about playing pretty football at the moment, it's about getting points. We conceded a goal - sloppy play by us to concede at the near post. But the response was fantastic - especially down the right side - we caused a lot of problems.

"And we got he goal at the right time. At half-time we said 'listen guys, we've just got to keep getting through it - it's going to be tough second half'.

"The players are absolutely knackered, especially after the four tough games we've had against the top four. And it looked that way in the last five minutes."

Hull City head coach Liam Rosenior talking to BBC Radio Humberside:

"We should win the game - we should be out of sight. We had complete dominance and control in the game, but for some naive play on our part to give them a helping hand on their goal and let them back in the game.

"Anyone in the stadium could see who the better team was and who deserved to win the game but it isn't about that, it's about taking your chances and being clinical.

"I'm really happy with the group and I know in the long term we're going to be a success."

Hope he’s going to be more ruthless than he sounds in summer because this group is nowhere near good enough.

Going forward I’d 100% keep.

Ingham
Jones
McLaughlin
Christie
Slater
Doherty
Slater
Simons
Adama
Seri
Oscar
Connelly

Maybe keep-
Greaves (depends on the offer)
Coyle
Darlow
Allyar (Doubt we get an offer for him)
Tetteh (another serious injury get rid)

Get rid-
Elder
Figeurdo
Tufan
Malcom
Pelkas
Longman
Woods

Id be signing-

A goalie that can use his feet
Experienced centre half
Attacking left back
Ashbee type sitting tackler or box to box
2 direct wingers who can press and take a man on with decent delivery
A striker who can also press with experience

Get rid of Tufan? He’s our second top scorer and doesn’t even start every game

For me re tufan it depends what kind of offer we get ( if we do, there's interest though ) and if it's decent then I think we should take it as I think we could get someone more consistent in the champ for a promotion push. There's no doubt he's got talent, but I'm just not sure he's cut out for/has the desire for a solid season long promotion push in the championship.

Yes he's our second top scorer ( 5 is it? ) But I think that says more about how poor we are up top.

You'd keep Slater twice and get rid of Longman?

Why not keep only one Slater then you can keep a Longman as well?

Definitely keep Longman and Tufan.... I think Doc might be on his way... the things you'd be signing I think there are 23 other clubs in our division looking for the same... lets hope we have some good scouts...

So is your argument that every team in say the top 6 has quality in every position. Lets just focus on a couple ... LUTON.... are you honestly telling me they are where they are due to personnel or is it the way they are set up etc. And without looking it up, can you tell me one quality player Luton have. Lets attribute the same two questions to MILLWALL (you can have Honeyman as a free hit).... then BLACKBURN ... (you can have Cameron Diaz as a free hit)....

Which of those teams you mentioned is in their second season in this division? Luton have done exactly what we are in the process of doing, slowly but surely assembling a squad full of quality. And yeah, I'm sat with a one year old but Carlton Morris, one of the top scorers in the division, Allan Campbell who they got from Motherwell I think is an absolute baller and Ethan Horvath I'd have as our keeper. Millwall you'd absolutely have Callum Styles and Zian Flemming in our squad and with Blackburn, who nearly got promoted last season, you're telling me you wouldn't have Szmodics or Tyrhis Dolan?

Every single one of those top 6 clubs at the moment have players who we would select as first teamers. We have players they would take. The difference is, they've got more of the ones we need than ones they need from us.

Aaaah but you did say until we have quality in every position.... I stand to be corrected but I doubt any/many here could reel off names of quality players from this teams... I could pull you up on a couple but I wont... its your opinion.

If Rosenior wants to play the pressing football. Non of our wingers are capable of that. Non are good enough in the ball either or bringing a direct threat. Get rid.

For what wages Tufan is on it’s pointless. He’s just not cut out for this league. I don’t mind carrying a creative midfielder if they are hugely talented. I mean we’ve had Koren, Diame, Okocha and to lesser extent Stuart Green. All brought an attacking threat and could change the course of a game.

It is also worth noting that the general quality of the championship post COVID has dropped in overall player quality. Every team used to have at least 1 or 2 that could change a game. Would argue that only about 10 teams have proper game changers

I don't think Tufan is that type of player. He's at times been marketed as a playmaker but as you say, he doesn't create that much. He does get into good scoring positions though and is at times a good finisher. The question is whether he can command a starting place often enough to do that meaningfully. Given that he only plays intermittently now, I'm not sure. Rosenior keeps blowing smoke up his arse, like he does with most of the squad, but he clearly isn't one of his trusted go-to players, even before any summer recruitment we do.

Someone included in their post "Seri is unouchable" . Meant in a sarcastic way I believe. I don't think he is. He sets the pace of our play and although he can play a nice pass he slows everything down way too much. So long as he is with us we have a lot more of this laborious style to watch.

Was Huddlestone laborious?

Obviously you don't agree with my point but he sets the pace and everyone looks to play the ball to/through him . Don't think Seri is as good as Huddlestone was. And, I'm ok with possession based football so long as we move the bloody ball quicker and forward at least more than we currently do.
