He passes forward the most out of anyone in our team. I do see the want for the ball to be moved quicker but I feel that comes from having too few in the team not willing to take risks with line breaking passes. Something Seri does in abundance

Jesus, I can't believe we're having a go at Seri now. Some of the one-touch interplay between him and Adama in the 1st half today was sublime. The problem is, there's too many in our side that can't do that.

And Seri is better than Huddlestone was. Seri's a chance creation machine and while Tom was unplayable in his first 6 months with us, his standards dropped a fair amount afterwards. He was one-paced and lacked mobility too. Worth pointing out that he had Livermore alongside him for most of his City career and Jake was absolutely fantastic for us (massively underrated too). Think he got his deserved recognition by his England call-ups.

Well said, watching Seri pass to a midfielder with intelligence and on his wavelength changes everything, stick a tough tackler next to him with similar intelligence we are into a winner. He’s miles ahead of anyone we have had in midfield since the likes Huddlestone.

I really don't get why some people are so negative. You have to build a team over 3 or 4 windows, and we are only a few months into Liam's reign, and some people expect immediate results. Coupled with Traore and Allahyar just coming back from long-term injuries, and in addition, we played Wednesday in a tough game and had 2 days to recover.

I half expected a game like this, as Bruce said players can play every day but don't expect the same intensity.

We dominated the game, particularly in the 2nd half, but just moved the ball too slowly and didn't take our chances. The ref turned down 2 clear penalties, the first one when Ebiowei shot was blocked by a hand, and then Pelkas gets rugby tackled at the far post, doesn't give that either.

Slater had a good first half until he collided with Jones to give Carroll his goal, His run and one/two with Traore, and then Traore pass and Slater finish was excellent though.

Traore is a quality player and will only get better with game time. Ebiowei was good again, he is slowly finding his feet.

We certainly look a lot better going forward with Connolly in the side, he has been a big miss and would have made a difference yesterday.

You will get games like this toward the end of the season especially when there is little at stake. Reading had more to play for in truth as it looks as if a 6-point deduction is on the cards, so they really needed the win.

Clearly, Liam is keeping his powder dry regarding who will be kept on or allowed to leave. He is assessing the squad, and not being rushed into making decisions early.

It's looking likely we will finish mid-table which most would have been happy with at the beginning of the season, so keep the faith, we are heading in the right direction.

An Away point in the Championship is always decent, especially when the best Reading could have hoped for was a smash and grab at their own ground.

Do you think he’s been given a decent run in his preferred position. He looks like he’s got himself fitter, I don’t think he’s had a decent run centrally. I think he’d be better with better players around him.

I'm not 'having a go'. I think I am adding a thought to the general discussion.

Too many sub standard players. Elder, Coyle, Slater, Longman. Pelkas, Ingram the list goes on. Ship the lad back to Palace too.

I do realise things could be a lot worse and we should all be grateful.

    We could be Tottenham.

Agree with the sentiment of the post, but no way is Seri better than Huddlestone was.
You are right though, Huddlestone had Livermore. We are crying out for someone similar alongside Seri. Maybe that's Simons in a year or two, but not now. Hopefully it gets addressed in summer, with Simons the back up & future maybe.

I wouldn't say the play between him and Traore was sublime, but they are both very decent and some of Seri's touches & passes are a joy (almost Huddlestone-esque). Under Rosenior we have become so boring, slow, predictable, unadventurous and also wasteful & sloppy going forward, but that's certainly not Seri's fault, he does look forward.

I didnt see it at the time. It was at the other end. But it was a clear penalty on EFL highlights.

Some say it will increase Greaves's transfer fee

Keeping playing greavesy at left back could be the reason he’s decided he wants out

he’s a centre back and wants to keep improving as a centre back
It’s ridiculous to keep playing him left back
