TV is one thing, merchandise, ease of access to tickets, facilities in the ground, fan engagement, sponsor engagement all add vital funds and need improving

Yeah they need improving but, ffs, people are becoming absolutely hysterical about f**k all while ignoring the fact that the club needed rebuilding, brick by brick , from the bottom to the top.

Donald and Methven absolutely destroyed the club ...

... it can't be rebuilt in the snap of a finger.

It's been nearly 2 years with very very little if any improvement.

It needs rebuilding, but as soon as anything is mentioned words like "pathetic" are bandied about.

To be truly sustainable we need off the field flying just as high as in the pitch and currently it's 2 divisions if not more below with little sign of improvement

sadly due to the old contract signed by the old owner merchandise is a mess until the contract ends, when the old owner done the contract the was no minimum supply agreement in the contract, this is why the supply of the strips are so bad and because of the contract agreement these nothing we can do until it ends at the end of the season ,

What happened in the summer then when we pulled the plug 3 days before the big launch?

That's bollocks, I've acknowledged that more work needs doing.

What's 'pathetic' are the comments in the OP ...

... or do you agree with them all?

What I said was pathetic was how primed some people are to go on the attack. I choose my words very carefully ... you should try it.

I agree with the comments about our fans safety, the club have done the absolute bear minimum to ensure the safety of fans in the north stand

A statement should have been released at the same time as the announcement. Rather than wait for RAWA to contact them.

They could have dealt with the away fan issue last year when it first reared it head
But the statement only confirms what most sensible people already knew. The FA rules were well publicised as was the fact that the mags wanted their full allocation. Additionally, everyone knew that the North Stand Upper wouldn't accommodate as many as the mags wanted.

But of course some people wanted to believe the club had offered no resistance and bent over backwards for the mags. They wanted to believe the club were happy to move SC holders and were weak in negotiations.

Even when the statement was released people aren't happy.

the contract got pulled because the already didn't have stuff sorted, and KLD wasn't happy with what was going on, sadly we can't get out of the old contract until this summer , this was also discussed in the talk in with bruce, according to him already big things signed up for the club in the summer that's supposed to be good news for sponsorship deals

so in the summer is when you'll actually see for the first time what owners will do with the strip supply and if it will improve

If the away fan location and know issues had been dealt with last year, none of this would have happened.

The club have not dealt with it adequately, hence why the SAG have reduced away allocations in the league amd our only plan for a big allocation is to give up an entire stand

WTF is wrong with people.

If KLD could've gotten away with it he'd have denied Newcastle a single ticket, sold out the SOL with Sunderland and raked the money in with nowt spent on stewards, police, etc.

People come across as stupid when they cling to agendas.

Let's hope so as merchandise is an important money spinner. Leeds make a massive amount from their club shop offerings, not far off what the big 6 do

How does the absence of a net add relevance here?

I said I agreed with the comments about the safety of our fans.

Last season when the throwing incidents occurred, our safety officer wanted a net putting up in front of the away fans.

That request was rejected by the club amd they decided to instead remove coins and tapes, which still hasn't stopped objects being thrown onto our fans.

Are you saying you believe we should put up nets and that would stop coins, piss, etc.

If not isn't that a total waste of money?

When was the last time there were reports of objects being thrown? How many games are there problems as a percentage of total games?

Aye but if we hadn’t took coins off them we couldn’t have afforded Amad. :emoticon-0104-surpr:emoticon-0105-wink:
