I am amused by Les's assertion that as we kept our best players that expectations have changed. Really? Here's the truth the reason that Fer, Phillips, Austin , Sandro are still here is that we were asking for money that only Premiership teams could afford, and guess what they did not think they were worth it; reason being that they aren't actually very good players!
Why would people think they would 'tear up the Championship'? While it may not be the best quality people need to respect this division. You need players who are grateful to be playing in it, not looking down on it as though it is an inconvenience.
I feel a bit sorry for CR, but on reflection it was unreasonable to expect a guy in his first managerial job at 52 to try and save a team from relegation and then if they did go down get them promoted first time. It would have been better for him if he has managed at a lower level first. I hope he enjoys success elsewhere.
