Cheers for trying Chris, it didn't take an expert to see it just wasn't happening with him at the helm.

It is never a great experience emotionally to lose your job (and I've been there), but no-one is bigger than the team / club

Yes, I wanted very much for Chris to succeed, particularly having been one of those select Rs fans at the SoL to see our 2-0 win there earlier this year, but it became pretty clear before the end of last season the he wasn't a PL manager

And so to the Championship......in theory with a great squad, but he never seemed to know what side to put out, when best to make substitutions, or how to truly motivate the team so it was only a matter of time before he went

However, good luck Chris. There is a perfect coaching and development role out there for you - take it and save yourself the unnecessary stress of having to please unrealistic and over demanding fans like me

If Warnock can get the best out of Austin, Fer, Chery, Luongo, Phillips, JET and Faurlin we will get promoted......

Big relief. CR has never looked convincing, not from the word go. Think the likelihood he'll stay at the club between nil and zero. Everyone has their pride, and he 's still a good coach for some club.

NW will do a good job for the time being, I'm sure. May be the old fox will get the job permanently. My main reservation would be that he's out of touch with the market of young players with talent and potential. But then may be Les will perform this talent spotting role

Relief rather than joy for me. We'll see on Saturday just how significant his poor team selection and tactics have been. It really shouldn't be too hard to turn it around.

Even though I agree it was the right decision, I do feel sorry for the bloke. The expectations and pressure would have been difficult for anyone to deal with.

Sadly once the fans started turning, it was the beginning of the end

I do feel when we attend games we need to look at ourselves and see what we're actually doing to help the team. All fans are fickle, but we seem worse than most.

What is certain is the players themselves are now running out of excuses....maybe they need to look hard into a mirror!

"I take no joy at all in the demise of someone I percieve to be utterly decent, who I have no doubt gave his very best to QPR. Especially as we have lost a very good youth team coach and I think while Ramsey is culpable for some poor decisions, he is by no means the main architect of our current malaise.
All the best to Mr Ramsey."
I agree with this. The club initially wanted a mid table finish to top half finish to start to lay foundations which have been sadly missing for many many season. Maybe CR was a little out of his depth as manager, but hopefully he will stay on in a coaching / scouting capacity. I am beginning to think that maybe TF, with all his expertise in getting an airline to be multinational in years is thinking he can do the same to a football club. However the players picked, bought or brought through the developmental squads need to bleed blue and white and want to run through a brickwall for the club. The club need to decide exactly what they want to do, and when they do get someone in, give them the time to turn things around and the financial support from top to bottom.
I only hope that they do not go short sighted again and employ Tim Sherwood - give the job to a Nigel Pearson who maybe may not be liked certainly laid the foundations at Leicester City.
Still, different manager / acting manager.......still the same players.........

    Wash out your mouth, please.
If Sherwood comes in, my alcohol intake will peak.

He was chucked in at the deep end after Kneecap hobbled off to his media cronies, and didn't really stand a chance of keeping us up, then when all of the "Stars" didn't get sold he was always on to a bashing - came across as a nice enough guy, but wasn't savvy enough tactically as manager - pity, I think we all wanted him to succeed. Time for Tony to find another "Dream Manager"???

It's a shame - decent guy. he tried but was found wanting and it looks as though he had lost the dressing room. However, here we go again. Things will not change for the better until the real idiot in the pack has departed the scene for good. I can't be bothered with the joke thread. This one is for real, I'm deadly serious. Fernandes out. Before he can do any more damage.

I wanted so badly for CR to succeed, but forgetting the obvious expectation that was rested upon him with the likes of Austin etc staying, I cant help but feel that he brought it on himself a bit. If your in over your head and you know it at least start making the correct decisions. It was strange team selection after strange team selection, coupled with baffling substitutions that really got me. I mean Henry as no.10?

My only surprise is that he went before Neil Lennon, hope he carries on coaching and makes a big success of it.

Yet another bad decision under TF. We switch from one to the next with no cause to think we will get any better. The players there won't play better for anyone else. They were for Chris. We should have stuck with CR, over time with support we would have got better.

Only positive is Colin is taking over. A great manager but now too old, had said he doesn't want to work full time, and the statement suggests he will only be Manager on a temporary basis. A bad day all round.
