Just had a chicken Tennessee burger in a seeded breadcake in Weatherspoons, so it'll be a small salad for tea.

Big baps, small baps, soft baps, crusty baps - many different varieties but they're tits not bread.

What music thread are we having tonight?

After the Duffy Power death I posted yesterday, Castro and I got started on British Blues. Would that grab ya?

Even if he wasn't born in Hull but his parents were and moved away etc he would still have known and probably used the word breadcake as he would have been influenced by his parents as all children are. His total confusion at the term breadcake insinuates absolutely no connection to our fair city at all which begs the question again, why is he on here?

Somebody gave him the combination for the lock - and no, I'm not going to sprag 'em.

Get on it Stan, I'll be home soon.

Fresh bread cakes from Drurys on endike lane with lots of butter on....people use to be waiting at 6am going back in time to purchase such luxury food .

Deffo bread cakes....

Right, not wishing to carry on disrupting the other thread, I've a few questions for CTWD, and an explanation of why I support the Allams and not CTWD. Try to take a deep breath, and think before hitting that "submit" button.

I'm still puzzled by the support for a room full of people deciding the entire future direction of a group by showing their hands. Also, don't you usually need a quorum before a xGM can pass anything? If you're sticking to the rules, what quorum have you set?

Seeing as it's so easy to organise a poll, I'm also curious as to why you didn't organise one before hand, so that you could get the views of the majority of your members, then present that at the FGM. Seriously, it would have been REALLY easy for you to do this, why haven't you? Not interested in what the 1600ish that can't make it think? Are they irrelevant?

It's nice to see you doing things you're "legally obliged to do", so, who is the Independant Hand Counter?

What provisions are in place to ensure no one votes twice, i.e. puts both hands up?

What provisions are in place for people who can't raise their arms high enough?

Can parents hold their eligible kids up and does the kid need to hold up both hands to signify themselves and their parent?

Can the people who can't make it in vote via instagram with a photo of their hand up (membership bracelet displayed clearly)?

Any chance of a photo of the room full of CTWD voters with their arms raised please??

In all honesty, I now see why the club turned down your generous offer to help them run their poll. Even with all of CTWD in attendance, I think it would have been difficult to count all the hands being raised around the stadium.

:emoticon-0102-bigsm

You accuse the Allams of being scared for not running a poll, then you lambast them for the poll they do run, then you run this shambles because you either a) can't manage a simple poll of your membership or b) think their views are irrelevant.

You accuse them of deceit and lies, all the while keeping from your membership and the public whom you seem to enjoy "engaging" with about the super secret file you handed over to the FA, not to mention the long running bullshit about being single issue.

You claim to back the Allams whilst doing every single thing you can to undermine them and the club.

You accuse them of polarising supporters, whilst you describe anyone not in CTWD as irrelevant, and anyone who dares to stand up to you is set upon by your angry little internet stormtroopers.

You twist and turn every comment from the owners, yet scream and howl when anyone does it to you.

You accuse them of releasing contentious statements before a game, which upsets people, then you release a statement the day before a game which is designed to upset people.

You're still playing at Football Manager. You have no clue of how to run a club, no proper plan or approach on how to raise sufficient funds to make our club long term financially stable. In short, you're protesting for the sake of protesting. You like protesting. You actually have nothing to offer the club other than your so called support.

Almost everything you accuse the club of, you are guilty of, it's almost like you think its one rule for them, and a totally different set of rules for you.

The Allams have restructured the club internally, removing waste and inefficiency. The business side of things at the club are now being run much more professionally than they were before they turned up. They managed to get rid of Bullard without it costing us a fortune. They have gambled their own money on the club and want to attempt something risky, but in a managed and moderated manner in a brave attempt to break the mold and to give us an edge.

Sure, they've made some mistakes, who doesn't? The name change could have been handled better, everyone acknowledges that. It's not however quite the portent of doom CTWD paints it to be.

They're still more trustworthy and have more integrity than CTWD. That is why I support them and the club, not CTWD.

You are quite simply mad

Suitedandbooted - do you not want non-hullites to support this club, I know some will call them "plastics" if we stay in the PL for a good few years and attract fans from outside the area. But is it not about increasing revenue and if we get an extra x thousand number of fans is that not one additional revenue stream - which CTWD say they will present to the owners after the announcement is made by the FA on the 9th.

Hope that is brief enough for the Sun readers on here

I question why they choose to support a team they have no affiliation to, much the same as we all do when questioning why some random from Hull is walking around in 'pool top. I see no distinction between the two.

Some interesting responses, some predictable ones and some that clearly break the rules of the board, and in any other thread, would be moved into their own thread, say one about tomorrow's game.

As one of the "non contributors" is a mod, and the main one who enjoys moving disruptive, non relevant posts is also joining in with that...

Go on, one of the mods, prove me wrong, move all the completely non topic related posts into another thread. I don't need to "report" anyone because you're already aware of it going on.

Oh thanks for the "I didn't read it, I don't want to waste my time but I'm going to post in this thread anyhow" posts. Genius.

Seems to boil down to certain arseholes demanding reasons for supporting the club and the Allams, then when they get them, they have absolutely nothing at all and end up resorting to petty insults and frankly childish chatter. You got what you wanted, and yet you still whine about it.

Well done, I see why you support CTWD.

Happy nails it again!
(Abley supported by Patty!).

For me, it's not just about whether the name change is right or wrong, but it's 'interesting' reading with some impartiality how people defend or justify their cause, their integrity or lack of, their consistency, etc etc. In this thread, the CTWD gang throw 'disciples', 'blind faith' and whatever allegations. Rather ironic? Still no credible response (bar Obi who unfortunately went off into fantasy land toward the end). As Happy eloquently states "Seems to boil down to certain xxxxxx demanding reasons for supporting the club and the Allams, then when they get them, they have absolutely nothing at all and end up resorting to petty insults and frankly childish chatter. You got what you wanted, and yet you still whine about it." AA is (rightly) accussed of turning some fans against him and the name change by what he comes out with, it seems to me that some members of CTWD are equally adept at doing the same for their cause. There seem to be few notable exceptions.

Because Hull were in the premier league. 3rd. I thought they were going to be the next big thing so jumped on early. Wondering if I made a mistake now, not much success to brag about.

You're a thick ****, FACT.

Cheers Driff, the thread served its purpose though, they've proven they have no tangible or decent argument against the club or the name change, they never did have. It was always about a select group who think they're holier than thou, who don't want the club to get past the 70s and 80s which is where they're stuck.

Simply put, they don't want success, they think every football fan should only ever support a club within 2 miles of their birth and that the best bit of a game is screaming abuse at other likeminded neanderthals from the other team. The football is secondary to them. They also expect and demands standards of others that they quite clearly are not capable of meeting themselves.

They think they're clever swamping this thread in noise but I'm happy to say that more and more people are seeing them for what they are, and they peaked months ago with membership signups, which says it all really.

All this thread proved, is that you're an obnoxious little prick.

Not that we needed any further proof.

Blind faith is something people, who support the Allam's in this unnecessary event, have adopted.

Ehab's even said there's nothing to it and you still bang on about it.

Do you actually believe people would agree with them when they're not getting any information on the subject? There needed to be transparency in his business dealings and there wasn't any.

Quite a few generalisations in there! And for balance, should be acknowledged that there are some exceptions. But yep, basically fair enough.
