Last few weekday mornings Alexa's gone off to RH morning show (Kofi Smiles). I know it was done to death earlier, but wtf were they thinking (oh, hang on .....).
He's a decent enough bloke etc but if the BBC really want to ditch local radio this is the way to do it. I fully expect an announcement in a year ot two from the BBC saying 'due to the poor listening figures we are closing down our regional local radio stations...'
Wouldn’t be much left if you closed every organisation that has had anyone dodgy working for them before.
Some senior people working for them decades ago should have been held accountable for covering for Savile, for sure, but I don’t buy it as an argument to close local services.
Radio 6 is alright.

Sick to death of Craig Charles now and the nomark who stands in for him (Hawkins?)
Coe/Radcliffe/Riley etc are decent. Freakzone on a Sunday and some other stuff is good.
Must admit I have very mixed feelings about the BBC.
A lot of good tainted by a lot of bad.
I rarely listen to radio nowadays. Usually just put on my own music.
If I do listen, it will usually be 6Music as well.
