Apologies
I should have littered my post with emojis to make it clear I was being slightly tongue in cheek ;)
I do sympathise with elderly people being scammed, I think the scammers should be dished out some serious pain...chosen by the scamees
Having said that I'm surprised many people posting on here bother with a landline

I can't be much help...but that's normal I'm afraid

I don't know if it's just me pronouncing it wrong, but it sounds like this is about to become a sticky. Do you have a varied selection, or is it all from one source?

At this juncture it may be worth pointing out that I'm sat in the garden with a large scotch
Feel free to ignore any inane babbling ( from me...feel freeto get annoyed by everyone else's)

Most people have a landline, that is how they get their broadband. Whether they use the phone is up to them.Relying on a mobile only is risky if you are need of emergency services.

True enough
I have one to call out on, I just don't receive calls on it
However I think that if we didn't all live in the KCom monopoly less of us would have a landline at all, because you don't need one with most providers

When I get nuisance calls I just say that I will go get who ever they are asking for and put the phone down in front of the TV or radio and see how long they will wait for I have great pleasure in this when I'm listening to Burnsy and Swanny

You still need a landline for broadband where I live.
