So in my lifetime many things have changed, Prime Ministers, political parties , musical styles , fashion styles just to mention a few things.

The one thing that remained constant was our gracious queen, it felt like she would live forever.

A very sad day.

RIP your royal highness<peacedove><rose><rose>

My wife just said exactly the same. As we are both in our late 30's she'd always been a constant. Quite surprised at how sad we both are considering we've never actually met her. Guess that sense of connection was what made her so special.

RIP Queen Elizabeth II.

Had the honour of giving you years of service, and even performed some ceremonial duties along The Mall a few times.

You will be missed by many.

I'm not a royal lover by any measure, but it will be strange without her at the helm. She lived a full life, with a dignity that her heirs need to take note of.

RIP Queen Elizabeth 2nd.
I am really upset at this news.

She was our longest serving monarch and along with her namesake, Elizabeth 1st, was our greatest ever monach imo.

The Queen genuinely loved her country and her people and served this country with dignity, fortitude and a sense of duty the like of which is unlikely to be matched.

You were magnificent Your Majesty.

The country will miss her, both monarchists and those who want to abolish the monarchy, and I confess to being the latter of the two. Nonetheless she has been there all my life and a great part of history is passing away with her. She has done a fantastic job. RIP <rose> This unites all British of all political persuasions.
Totally this
