Not much excitement about the season ahead, but first day of the season is always a bit exciting. I'll be frustratingly close to Loftus Road, but at a wedding...and yes, the groom has been reprimanded for allowing the wedding to be arranged for the first day of the season, and no, there won't be a live stream at the reception and apparently I shouldn't ask the bride why not...some people!
It’s genuinely disgusting when people have their wedding during the football season. Or an international tournament. People just need to agree to a wedding window of every other summer. Missing Bristol City away for the 137th time for similar nonsense.

Rarely, if ever, have I gone to the first game of the season with less excitement and lower expectations. Which is great, because the only way is up.

I’m going expecting a poor game between 2 poor teams
I am hoping we squeak a win
I accept we have at least 3 key players missing
I would love to see Nardi start
I would love to see Celar start and score and be one of the pleasant surprises of the season
I am expecting to enjoy watching Poku
I would love it if Dembele was fit and lively on the other wing
I would like to finally see the one they call Harvey Vale and see if he is something or nothing
I await the new managers song and hope this one scans without the unnecessary swear word on the last line
2 seasons ago we had the best injury record of any team in the 4 leagues
Last season it was probably one of the worst
Let’s hope for a good one
I don’t want a manager who doesn’t make his first sub until the 84th minute
I enjoyed not having one last year
I live in hope as ever.
This is not the worst squad we have ever had, especially if Saito returns
It is just comfortably the most unbalanced
I am hoping for more goals from midfield this year

We did Marylebone Registry Office on a Thursday. I thought I'd cracked the system. Ends up that date drifts into the play-off weekend, been a few nervous seasons since!
