Toothless, negative defending and I honestly didn't think borough were that good. So very worried for Bristol.

Smith was a disgrace today. Twice he went over in the box trying to get a penalty. If he had stayed on his feet, he MIGHT have created a chance. ****ing disgrace!

Would you be surprised to know that villa have only spent 2.5 million this season? And recouped around 15million in departures

But how much are the free transfers costing them in wages? Terry hasn't gone there for the good of his health nor has snodgrass....

Good business sense in my book. Should give Tony a few lessons. Yes Boro have spent a lot of money, we know better than anyone that it doesn't automatically mean you should beat everyone. There is a massive difference in spending massive to spending wisely. We have been so badly run at all levels

I thought we looked ok until Boro scored. We controlled the game but lacked any substance or guile when we got into the final third. Boro's first goal came from a simply worked corner, I think it was Downing who was being marked at the far post by Furlong. Downing lost his marker by running to the near post and getting the flick on. This left the far post unguarded as Furlong floundered in no man's land which allowed an unmarked Ayala to head into an empty net from a yard out.
Not a lot we could do about the second as arguably the best left back in the Championship George Friend was given the freedom of Loftus Road to lash home an exocet from thirty yards. Maybe he should've been closed down quicker by Ned and Furlong. Their third came from a mix up between Lynch and Luongo who both went to head the same ball and after trying to do so had no idea where the ball was. This allowed Boro to slot the ball through to man of the match Traore who beat two defenders and Smithies to slot home.

Not a good day at the office for the R's. They're an honest and hard working group of players who just aren't good enough. The build up play is very slow and goes back and sideways too much. They need to move the ball quicker and try to play it forward more. Today felt like I was watching a Hasselbaink side.

We looked ok for a while because they were as bad as us, mate. You are dead right about our lack of guile, that was what was so frustrating. Our much-vaunted midfield three were all poor today, I thought. We just looked sluggish and bereft of ideas. Traore was frightening.

I sat there today thinking about all the plaudits afforded to the midfield trinity and came to the conclusion that it's actually a myth.

If you're even only half serious, that is very worrying. We know we have no strike force of any note, the defence is variable and if the famed mid field is a myth then we are simply relying on other teams being worse than us!

Was away for this one and sad to read that we were pedestrian at best since we've out on good displays against the better teams thus far.

It's a strange thing to me that in one week, the same team might do ok and then be dull, unimaginative and pedestrian the next. Multiple variables that sometimes conspire to success and at other times just the opposite.

We can only hope they get back to winning ways soon.

Not a nice day out yesterday. Extremely poor effort from all the lads. We started brightly but as soon as they scored, turned into a League 2 side. Nothing to cheer about through the whole match and we did our best to make them look good. Gutted to have to sit through that crap. Hopefully we can improve!!
