After all this time I should surely be used to topsy turvy Rangers but I'm not. Madsen, the whipping boy of a year ago, MOTM by some distance yet again and capped a fine performance off with a goal. Cook, who was written off a couple of months back, dominant at the back. And Bennie showed glimpses of talent that means even the QPR scouting network get it right sometime. You Rrrrssss!

Maybe we should of kept Celar as well!
I can't believe the transformation in Madsen truely unbelievable
Bennie is raw, was at fault with their goal, however caused defence lots of issues and got in right place to have 3 shots

Really good to see Bennie getting extended game time. Agree with Sb he was a little bit rabbit in the headlights at times - but he had to be there to be in the headlights, so I’m seeing it as a positive. Needs to be more naturally decisive when in strong positions. Shame he messed up with the first goal. But we won, so forgiven. Great experience and result teamwise for him.

Hands-up from me Stroller, I’m eating gargantuan slices of humble pie re Madsen and my comments last season - and very very happy to do so.

He’s a totally different player and I am really really enjoying watching him play this season. What a player. Just need a little more from him to be in danger of losing him for a decent price. Has me struggling to see how Ilias fits easily into this team right now.

I think Vale will come good, he was in and out of the game, when ‘in’ he looks like a player who will be strong for us. He does have good instincts.

What a transformation in Madsen this season. He always looked like he could play, but he's now added tacklng and heading to his excellent passing game. Player of the season for me. There's a few that should be eating their words from last year.
Fair enough Strolls, but he was dire last season - wonder if the incredibly cautious Cifuentes contributed to that. Likewise good to see you seeing the good in Kone. He’s not the most subtle and the ball doesn’t stick to him the way you want from a great number 9 but he’s full of heart, is a genuine pest and he actually scores goals. When I think of the last 3 in that position I think we should be pretty happy. When Burrell is back to take some of the load he’ll have an easier time as well.

MADSEN was awful last season and a disgrace to the shirt. He has much improved this season, finally doing what a professional midfield footballer should always do.
Some people like to be controversial and start arguments for the sake of gaining attention.
That last 7 minutes today gave me flashbacks to last week, which I thought I’d got over, a great and deserved win, special atmosphere today. Cheer up big fat Frank

Coventry? Really not all that. Frank seems to have had a lucky first half of the season. He’s struggling now. Shame. Not!!

Will likely end up in the play offs. Hull are flying, can see them and ‘boro in first two places.

Sad case.

Vale is and has always been a class act. Injuries and constantly playing out of position have not helped.
IMO he is a natural No. 8
I don’t really understand the new fangled definitions of 6, 8 and 10, but Vale is a very good player lacking only pace. His ball to Madsen for the first goal, when he was quite deep in the centre, and cross for the second, where he was very advanced on the left, might indicate he needs a free role behind the attack.

He needs to keep playing very well because he won’t get a kick once Chair is back. Wrongly in my opinion.

It was class today.

Edwards was a calm influence to our backline. Cook and Dunne outstanding. Well done Stephan keeping Dunne as CD.

Madsen was outstanding is he really only 25/ 26. He could take us up...if we keep him.

Kone was outstanding today. That man has an engine on him. Vale was really good. Bennie is coming on leaps and bounds.

Really impressed with today's effort. Everyone yes Everyone was good to outstanding.

Really happy

I reckon Vale has a bit more pace than you might think.
It’s a decent squad of 15 or so even players who all need a consistent run in the team then start to improve. I thought Madsen had a very quiet first half then realised he was all over the second half. He really is very skillful. The skill level and pace level of the team is much improved from recent seasons. We are very close to knocking on the door of a play off place.

Bring back the days midfielders could do a bit of everything and run for 90 minutes. Bloody sixes breaking up play and being on the half-turn. Six is a centre-half anyway. Should be called a four.

10 is a fancy flair player. Eight is somewhere in between but is meant to be able to run around quite a lot.
