I still can't believe how we have fallen so badly in 6 months. The fans have been drained of any enthusiasm. Like many I left early, heard the third as I walked pass the Springbok. Total silence, so sad to witness
I thought this was just a well organised team with tactics where every player knows his role against a team that don’t play as a team and have no plan or idea what they’re supposed to be doing. I doubt there’s much difference in skill levels, just a manager who knows what he’s doing against one who thinks showing more passion will win the day. No creativity up front, just hoping a cross might reach the right head. If we somehow stay up Ainsworth is not the man. If we go down I still don’t think he’s the answer. We have really hit rock bottom and for me there are no positives at all. Dozzell should be playing non league from what I can see.
As bad as you feel, try getting home at 2am from a ‘home’ match like that, Ryanair really piled it by adding 2 hour delay after calling all passengers to the gate. Only worse memory in my life of a defeat was the return trip as a student via coach/ ferry from the Milk Cup Final.
Can’t argue with any of that Sb. We are dire. The results are dire. The outlook is catastrophic for the club. As much as it pains me, and it’s a lot, GA is making no positive difference with who he is and what he’s got to deal with in this club. I did believe Cardiff had the worst run in, but we needed to gain 4pts in my opinion (and that was before this weekend, when I thought we could at least get a point. Though, when I saw our line-up and Cov’s 5-man midfield my heart sank tbh). It’s a crock of **** and unless we restructure this squad, next season will be one to test the perseverance of the most ardent fan after the last few years - this ‘every year’ rebuild and throw away another season is very very tiresome. When your level of hope is to scrape a draw at home (against anyone) then the rebuild is a pathetic future. A challenge I’m not sure this club has the capability to take on with the management team in place right now. ****ing dire!!
Team Booed off, zero cohesion, zero game plan, dog **** style of play, club in disarray. Fans had an absolute gut full of incompetence on and off the field. Ainsworth hasn't got a clue what to do,how to set up etc..and the silence is deafening from the Hierarchy..bout time they said something.
Everything about the club is negative, from the financial status to the playing field. A recipe for an absolute disaster. If we go down, then the championship wil become a far off fairytale. If we stay up then we have more ****e football, more inept tactics and another relegation battle. What an absolute mess we are.
It all stems from the hierarchy down,no forward thinking from any of them. How the hell can you enthuse players and fans with a totally apathetic bunch of owners. Ferdinand should be removed from his DOF position as he obviously is clueless.
True. We do not create enough opportunities, plus we consistently leak goals. We cannot even have a strategy to try to grind out goalless draws!
Very questionable starting 11 by Gareth imo. However much form and confidence has disappeared, surely we need our best players on the pitch? I despair that Ainsworth has gone 4-4-2, playing Chair out of position and starting Albert. Booting the ball forward and hoping is ****ing awful.
Just listened to Ainsworth’s post match interview and I honestly think he sounds more ****ing clueless and chats more ****ing **** than Critchley did and that's saying something. Totally ****ing clueless. Amateur hour.
We’ve been awful in front of goal for some time now. Best form of defence is attack and all that … we have been shocking. We all know we are unlikely to score when we let in our early giveaway goal. Poor balls in, not enough bodies in the box, shooting at the ‘keeper (that really pisses me off). They may play well on the practice pitches but if they can’t do it on match day we’re wasting our time. Same for other areas on the pitch. Replace or get rid of - we’re a soft underbelly if a club. The clubs who turn it around make the hard choices - we keep on doing the same thing (and not even doing that well). Barely any of our B-team has made it to the bench in recent years - says it all. Disgraceful. There’s a strong need for accountability for shocking development and recruitment from academy levels. Any rebuilding is looked at from outside the club - that’s how poor we are. FFS!
Not sure what he can say now. If he slaughters the players it curries favour with us a bit but does him no good with the squad. I don’t like the Mr Positive act either but these tarts have shown they can’t handle criticism. The bloke is well out of his depth but that’s not his fault.
It's a shame for Ainsworth. It was never going to end well, similar as to when players go back to play at their old clubs. Such a limited coach/manager who relies on motivation and encouragement over tactical nouse and organisation.
I don't wish any bad feeling towards Ainsworth but I certainly won't be paying money to watch a game whilst he's in charge, not when I can witness a similar style and standard at my local amateur club for free
And to think we could have had Neil Warnock before GA. If there was anyone who could get to grips with these tarts and grind out a few results to have kept us up, it was him. And we all said it at the time so it’s not with hindsight. A no brainer decision until the end of the season and our glorious leaders bottled it
