Knee high to a grasshopper maybe certainly not knee high on Lerma......... Problem is officials only have one look at incident and as we know Stroud uses a tombola to make his decisions
Familiar refereeing complaints struggle to mask QPR shortcomings – Report - Queens Park Rangers News | Loft For Words (fansnetwork.co.uk)
Sad to say, but he's pretty spot on. As much of a **** Stroud was, we didn't deserve anything out of the game. The teams above us are there for a reason, and we're just not quite there yet - some minor tweeks to the squad may help, but it's still a much more enjoyable season than many in recent memory.
I saw the guy on the edge of the box fll over dramatically and then get up fine … thought I was imagining it. ****ing hilarious if it wasn’t so pathetic.
It is much more enjoyable, but I still find it a little frustrating how open our set up is. The back 3 have to constantly perform heroics to hold back the tide they're exposed to. Unless we can solve the lack of chances created we will continue to concede more than we score, unless we add a third midfielder in the centre.
It's how we play, and it's good. Yes, the CBs are stretched, but it's not so much due to a lack of CMs, more because our WBs are always so high. Didn't I read that Warburton said that he didn't want the WBs receiving the ball in our half? They have to at times of course - it's an ambition rather than a rule - but it's a statement of attacking intent. I'm happy with it, but if our WBs aren't good enough (Kakay isn't) or if our front three are nullified, we have a problem, as we did yesterday.
I hope Warbs gets to explain what had gone on previous Don't think they will care two hoots, but it would be nice for someone to say it
Bournemouth were fined 15K on a similar charge for their game at Wallll in November, Wall got a 5K fine.
I respect this opinion and other similar ones. I just do not get why some of us are thinking there's something wrong with our players or that we're being naive with our tactics when we can't fully match up against what are essentially premier league teams with squads of a much higher market value. We didn't deserve anything? That's not how football works. It's whoever gets the ball in the back of the net the most that deserves it. That's the deciding factor. This is the beauty of the game, because an underdog can knick a goal. However, the beauty of the game gets thrown out the window when there isn't a level playing field, which is what Stroud provides. Essentially, QPR are punching above their weight and are quite clearly putting massive effort in. We were 3rd not so long ago. At this stage of the season, with our budget squad, that was a big achievement. And we're still very much in the running for top 6.
No surprise that Bournemouth have been here before. Their ****y coach said he liked what went on after our game.
My point is, allowing for all our financial restraints etc etc, we could be less open and therefore less likely to concede with a small tactical change. Just my opinion, but it's pretty clear how open we are and how exposed the back three are in every game we play.
