Be careful and consistent in what you wish for. I remember a time under the mighty Schteve when Lumley was very much guilty of just that. Take your point though and so simple to correct. Edict at the start of the season. Every player gets one warning. Next occasion they waste time, it's yellow.and then red. That would soon cut it out. Same for diving. Referees get judged at the end of the season for their consistency and can be struck off the list after a due warning to buck up their ideas

The best solution would be to have a game clock that's stopped when the ball isn't live, as in NFL. Sixty minutes actual play.

Yeah, I saw that. Watford fans hate him though, and his wages would be prohibitive. Wells was good for us and doesn't seems to be getting much of a go at Bristol City.

There's a reason Wells isn't getting much game time at Bristol....he's gone right off the boil. Would Warbs be willing to take a gamble on him getting back to where he was with us 2 years ago - I'm not so sure. Not convinced about Andre Gray either - his stats aren't that great as a front man for what his wages would make you expect (19 goals in over 100 appearances for Watford....)

I've touted this a few times before and even started a thread on this. It received no responses. It would stop all of the ****housery.

Not sure I'd particularly want either of them.

Not in any wishing to be critical but should Dieng have done better for both their goals?

He should've got something on the first. But Kakay should've pushed up to play him offside and the shot doesn't matter. That was the first mistake.
Double indemnity for their first goal.

In many ways ... I feel that this result will hold us in greater stead than cruising to a 3-0 win. We'll see. I think that recovering from a two nil deficit to gain a point will do more for the fabric of the team than an easy victory will do. Fair play to Barnsley. A great first half but their tactics second half got their just rewards. Why would you change something that was working so well into something that was negative football? Bizarre, but thank you.

Yes, we need another striker - just think Wells or Gray aren't who we need. But we need to trust that whoever Warbs and Les decide to bring in (if they bring anyone in) is going to be the right fit.

I'll trust them to bring in the right man. Just so long as they do bring someone in.

Not completely tinted specs, we came back into it, but perhaps a classic case of the stats not really representing what we saw with our own eyes and football not being played on paper. Can't see many on here saying we deserved a win.

We did not deserve to win.

But at the end of the game, the momentum was with us and we we looked the more likely team to score.

Barnsley should be livid. They were leading 0-2 at half-time and were fully in control of the match. Then rather than go for the kill and get three points, their tactics and attitude allowed us to get back in the match.

True. It would guarantee a set amount if match time regardless of time waster, which would be irrelevant, unless you wanted rest time.

The QPR v Coventry match next Saturday will be a mini “6 pointer”.

They are just directly above us in 4th place with 9 points.

The good news is that we have a week to see who is fit and to decide on the formation.

As a consequence. I expect that we will field a very junior team on Tuesday against Oxford.

We seem to have a injury crisis...so different to last season.. We have a bout of "illness" which has affected Chair, McCallum and now Dykes.

We have long term injuries to Amos, Field and now Wallace. And waiting to see DeWisj.
Austin is carrying a knock, and Dickie I hope is just knackered and not also carrying a knock.

We are down to the bare bones.
Cannot think who we will see play against Oxford...
But as said Saturday against Coventry is the last match for a while..we need to recoup.

We need another striker ..and none of our players to leave...as we haven't got enough players to even replace them...let alone replace them with a player of a similar ability.

The close range header that skinned the post?

The shot in front of the goal that went high and wide?

The flicked header from the corner towards the end?

The far post header is one he'd usually get on target, but it was offside anyway.
The glancing header was great movement and unlucky not to go in. Not sure what else he could have done with it.
The other shots were poor by his standards but half chances at best imo.
Did well carrying an injury imo.
