Not conclusively as there was no camera exactly inline but the balance of evidence was definitely in favour of Kakay having played the goal scorer onside by being woefully late moving up with the rest of the line. Shame, because I felt Kakay had a decent game otherwise.
It looked pretty clear from QPR + that Kakay at LWB, hadn't moved up with the others and played him onside
I think Austin is missing Kane's early crosses! I would like to see Odubajo focusing on getting a few more early balls in for Austin and Dykes than he has done. He seems to over play a bit, comes inside or back and has not been as brave in his play in these League games as he was against ManU in particular.
When you saw it at the ground of course you are looking at where the ball is, and not being blessed with panoramic vision Kakay was well out of view from the Upper Loft (as you know mate, when’s the next visit?). As is what passes for a ‘big screen’ for replays. The lack of concerted protest from the Rs players was the giveaway. But to be honest they were so dominant in the first half that only being 2 down at half time was very fortunate. No argument that he was played onside, just easier to spot on the telly.
The incident looked easily offside also on TV. It was only the repeat from the wide angle that showed Kakay desperately trying to get in line with the other defenders. I am sure most people watching live in the ground were surprised with the decision. The back row of the Loft was certainly a poor angle to spot it. As for a live game, I would love to join you and the gang at the back of the Loft. As for when, currently I have no idea.
