Just a couple of observations, not just about this game...

1) Our attempt at a passing game is commendable but we don’t really have a calming influence that can slow things up from time to time. It’s all pass, pass, pass, pass. Would be nice if we had someone that could do that, give time for a bit more movement.

2) As good as he is at this level, Chair seldom tries to beat a man before a pass. He generally looks to play someone in with a threaded pass or, absent any decisive options, play back so as not to lose possession. All good and admirable, but it’s often that one moment in ten when you beat a guy in the final third that leads to goalscoring opportunity. Dunno whether he’s been told to play that way or not, but I’d like to see him take more risks with his game.

I often wonder if it's worse playing Chair a bit further back and allowing him a bit more space to create something.

But I think it mostly comes down to him not having any other players who are good with dribbling and one touch passing to team up with and get going some good triangle passes, etc.

The red button picture quality second half looks like I’m watching it in the bathroom mirror after a shower.

Agree about Chair. Trouble is, we were spoilt as Eze made it look so effortless at times, but I fear Chair would not be physically big enough to keep possession if he tried to go past people.

Woodrow off...and you can hear our players complaining about how slowly their players are strolling off.

****'s sake.
Was that Cameron or Barbet caught on the wrong side.
So slow too.
Could get embarrassing.

1-3

They change all three forwards and score on the first counter attack. His first touch!

Not good defending by the R’s!
