I think we have to accept we were beaten by a better team. They had energy, tactical awareness and a very good shape. They were winning many 50/50 balls and sounder in possession. We gave the ball away far too often and never seemed to get any ascendency throughout the game. We have to accept we are at best a mid table side and Charlie's goals will probably keep us up. So many teams below us picking up points we are only 5 points clear of Brum in 21st, too close for comfort as it has been each of the previous seasons. 50 points can't come quick enough, as usual...

Clive seems to be agreeing with you Soops...Very complimentary about Barnsleys workrate

My thought as I watched it were they looked like they had an extra player as they seemed to have us covered wherever we were trying to move the ball to. I also think we've looked sluggish in recent games, the season is catching up with us and we've lost a bit of confidence...

Barnsley didn't look sluggish though.
They seem to be managing ok physically.

just a thought but were we helped to beat top sides as they tend to get the ball down and play, giving us more time on the ball? Wing backs were definitely in games more than they were v Barnsley - if I was an opposition manager I'd know how to play us now which is a worry IMO...
