They didn't even look at the pen shout for Barton on motd yesterday...The ref bottled it cause of the one earlier.

Yes they did. Shearer said Morrison was very lucky to get away with it.

Goals on Sunday just reviewed our game with Sam Allerdyce and they all agreed that the challenge on Barton was a nailed on penalty, but that his theatrical fall led the ref to doubt it. I agree.

Not in a million years mate. The ball was gone from him (almost in the Keeper's arms) when he threw himself in the air like a Dolphin.

    Correct call

What running at full pace, and you get tripped up ?

How can you manufacture a "theatrical fall" ?

    Nailed on penalty

It happened right in front of me and it was definitely a penalty.

Seen the replay a few times Nines and I can't agree. He barely touched him and the chance had already gone. Barton threw himself theatrically down when he knew it was a lost cause. If that was given at the other end QPR folk would be going ballistic.

    Licking my wounds?!

Dont give me stick because I had better things to do then write on a message boards.

I think you forget because you are so detached that Rangers is an actual thing that some of us on here actually go to.

Went straight to the princess vic from the ground and stayed out and got smashed all buzzing after a massive 3 points that like the Leicester game couold easily have been 0 points.

Rub of the green is going our way at home at the moment and let's hope it continues in 2nd half of the season, an hope our openess isn't exposed by better finishers than Ideye and Jamie Vardy as most the top 10 come to Loftus road and we try and turn around the joke of an away record

Plus- nice for Austin to save us again and again. Especially considering the stick I took at work when I backed him at 100\1 top goalscorer start of this season.

Damage I have to be honest, I was going to say the same as Queens but he got there before me. Strolls, Ozzie and particularly yourself were nowhere to be seen during the latest TarraTubby debacle.

You lads finally going to admit that he's a total halfwit?

Don't get the slagging of Hoilett after yesterdays game. Watched it over again this morning in full and think Hoilett had a very positive impact on the game. Harry got the timing of that substitution spot on, we needed new energy in the team at that point and Hoilett provided exactly that.

The team works incredibly hard for each other, huge difference from our last time in the Premier League. We're not easy on the eye that's for sure, but I don't think we're good enough to play much different from what we're doing anyway. The long ball game works, combined with the high workrate we make our own luck. Look at Leicester, a team trying to play pretty as a newly promoted side and getting nothing for it. We need to establish ourself in this league first, then we can start playing football the right way.

The fans made HQ rock again, there really is no place better than Loftus Road for atmosphere when we get right behind our team. Something I'm happy to hear commentators point out almost every time I watch our home games. The players say it too and it is something they use to their benefit, it is a huge belief in the squad now. I look forward to the home games against the top sides in the second half of the season, should be some cracking games in there.

I think we also need to acknowledge that West Brom are not a bad footballing side.......we are the new kids and along with Leicester & Burnley we are not going to play sides off the park, but what we are doing at HQ is making ourselves difficult to beat, and as long as we get enough points to survive playing ugly I will not complain......yesterday was exactly that, not great on the eye but it was the result that mattered......

Home form is the key to this season, just need to release some of the pressure by picking up some points away.....

Now we have desperation setting in do we....<laugh>
I happiliy put my attendance record up against yours mate, to se who is the "superfan"...!<laugh>

Im waiting for the "yu werent there so you dont know" line next. Then we can recall Kiwi's post that makes a complete mockery of the whole subject

PD, you have a great fooballing knowledge but even you (as are we all) can be wrong sometimes mate. Deal with it and move on.
You got it spot on with Chalie but horribly wrong with Adel. Thats just he way it goes mate.
Harry for me isnt the best, but he's doin 50% of the job right now. If we can sort out this away form then we should be ok <ok>

Agree with you about WBA - thought they looked a very good team, other than their defending at corners especially. We were lucky to get a point let alone 3 - Austin and Green, many thanks!

Yes, I thought he was bad. Most times he had the ball he lost it - the last minutes when we needed to keep it as much as possible, he did everything but. He tried repeatedly to take it to their corner, but he lost it every time. This gave WBA the opportunity to rescue the game at the death, which they got extremely close to hitting the post. I don't remember such inefectual ball holding in the oppositions corners - not all his fault maybe he needed more support, and someone to take over maybe, but he nearly lost us 2 points with that pathetic play.

No, I like Hoilett as a player, especially his speed. But he looks shot for confidence, many injuries, and he really needs to improve his passing, particularly his crossing, final pass and shooting if he is going to be a regular in our starting first 11, or any other PL start 11 IMO. He should take a look at Routledge, and try and learn from him - probably the best player we have "lost" the last few years.
