But lets enjoy it while we can ... we are now better than 2 teams in the Prem, so we only need to be better than 1 more and we're looking at 17th.
Our passing was sharp today, our defending is improving and Luke Shaw looks sooo mature at left back, Morgan & Corky are the biz in front of the back 4. We can only beat the team put in front of us and that's what we did.

Only sour note for me was that I was looking at £300 for 2-1 and Ricky scoring first and thenn Morgan goes and scores ... :headbang:

Blame Anton Ferdinand. He put it in the net, not Morgan!

No, we don't need other teams to have a bad patch. We just need to have our own good run. We win 3 or 4 in the next 6 or 7 and we'll move up. It is not about what the other teams do, it is about what we do.

Exactly - its how WE play that matters, and we have already shown that we can outpass and score against the better sides, if only we can keep our defensive organisation right.
Yesterday was one of those great away days - Saints support was terrific throughout and afterwards walking up South Africa Road you would have thought Saints were at home ! The whole outfield team played really well for the whole game - Paulo Gazza was dodgy at times and should have been in a better position when they scored but he also made a few crucial stops. Felt a bit sorry for the QPR fans, we know what its like to be in their position. Onwards & upwards now, whatever the other teams around us are doing.

Massive big up to our fans too, only a point above QPR before the game and you wouldnt know that from our fans. Singing our managers name throughout, such a contrast to QPR's fans. So i think that the confidence that the fans have given to the team is really good <ok>

He does use that word a lot though.

Hansen must be a listener to Tony Blackburn!!

Lol, when I wrote the above I immediately heard the sound of Tony Blackburn exclaiming That's A Sensation, to a perfectly ordinary piece of pop music. And I never used to listen to Tony Blackburn either. It's amazing the amount of dross that gets through, over one's life. :)

Suddenly a draw against Newcastle is a very good result, in my opinion. I'm not saying that I wouldn't have taken a draw against them 24 hours, but had we not won yesterday then a draw vs Newcastle would have been yet another game which we'd have failed to win - with that tough start more and more of distant memory, and so slightly less of an excuse.

Four points from these two homes and things will look rosy again - we'll almost be right bang back on track in terms of the one-point-per-game target (and even that might be more than we need, as I don't think 38 points has generally been a requirement to survive in recent years). And we'll be heading to Anfield with confidence and absolutely nothing to lose - often a lethal combination.

So pleased that Morgan has started adding goals and assists to his game. He's always had the potential to do so, and now has - on the biggest stage in England. Proud of the boy.

I think that Newcastle are a beatable team for Saints, they have lost a couple on the trot at home to sides of similar quality to us so they have to be beatable. Saints have played well enough in the last two games to beat them. However a draw would not be the end of the world either.

Was a brilliant away day for me,the fans were great again like always. We need to take it to our next game against Newcastle, even tho they have actually got strikers in Ba and Cisse.

It was interesting walking back to the tube station with all the QPR fans, although they were probably too angry and depressed to notice that I was wearing a Saints shirt! I was trying really hard to hide a huge grin!

The few I chatted to seemed ok, one of the more friendly home fans in the Prem.

I chatted to some on the tube, and they are resigned to relegation if Hughes stays in charge. I really felt sorry for them, they seemed to have lost the passion that every football fan has for their club.

The QPR fans seemed a pretty reasonable rabble. Nice and friendly enough and were vocal in the ground. The club staff were all decent too.

Good day out. Fans deserve better.

Of course it "depends on what we do", but my point is that IMO that's a limited amount in this company and we need a helping hand from other lower-mid teams in the sense of losing runs.
