Fantastic achievement for a Step 8 team, they'll have played through at least five rounds to reach the 1st round proper. A home draw v Oxford would be the icing on the cake and almost certain to be televised...
Team played better with Fer and Faurlin on the pitch and a lovely Ale pass to pick out Philips for his goal
Your having an argument with yourself there because I haven't said we have a 'right' to win Just put a team together and hit the standards the individual's are capable of
Cursing myself as I don't think I can stand a discussion about it, but when was the last time we consistently achieved your last sentence? As many say 'with this squad we should....' but the results say everything, not just about the manager, about the players too. Hopefully we can kick on from two clean sheets. If we stay within 10 points of the leader we will end up in the play offs. I suspect confidence is worth more than talent in this league. I've only seen the two minutes highlights, everything else aside, did you enjoy the match?
Karl Robinson's comment "QPR didn't really play any football" Interesting - I guess his argument must be we would have one 6-0 if we did.
I thought the football we played was often quite good. Much less resorting to mindless hoofs to JET than at Birmingham.
Thank you R's you've made my Saturday evening far more enjoyable than I was anticipating after 70 minutes........we can all have a pleasant evening and look forward to watching the the 15 seconds or so that will be shown on channel 5....... Thanks seahoop for posting the sky footage.......onwards and upwards to Friday at Griffin Park...... Swordsie if you want to be sent off that can be arranged Up the R's...
Theres two hours worth of mad men running around with sticks here.... http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/scotland/34621948 At last Scotland beat the Irish at Shinty Hurling!
Everything was far, far better than Tuesday - except the chips which went from big fat chips to almost fries. It's disgusting, an abomination and Ramsey should be sacked immediately. Oh - and the bloke behind me who keeps screaming obscenities and booing (mainly) Henry is a tiresome twat. Aside from that, a great afternoons entertainment.
Sorry mate, that's just semantics. Every team in this league can say let's play to our full potential and 'with the players we have we should piss this league' - your words I believe You've said that week after week. To my mind that is saying exactly that you feel that with our 'immensely superior players' we have a right and expectation to win. In your universe what is the difference between winning and pissing this league?
Great to hear all your comments from the game. Great that the team not only had a win but also a clean sheet. Obviously, Warnock is having some success.
Mk Dons I think we're truly awful today, nothing like the team that beat us in the cup previously, they seemed intent on playing between there centre backs and keeper which really slowed the game down. We should have scored a couple in first half just unlucky not to get on the end of things. Did they even have a shot in first half as I can't remember one? Henry was actually putting shift in and closed down a couple of times with tackles that potentially could have created openings but came to nothing BUT he gave the ball away quite a few times and once booked(stupidly) he should have been taken off for Faurlin. I'm sure at a lot of QPR fans shouting off off off before getting a yellow which was sad but amusing! Faurlins pass I think for Phillips goal showed the vision we need for that role. Think Hall had a good game today and Clint gives everything and I think makes a big difference.
Thought as much. Seems to me one or two Henryistas on here are trying to give him credit for the win.
