Extremely impressive 90 minutes. I watched the first 60, then went off to see Norrköping win 3-1 and watched the last half hour now. Lovely afternoon, allround!
The most impressive thing for me is that we have quality on the bench. N´gototo (whatever) will probably replace Gladwin at Baadiff and we will be even more dangerous going forward and/or on the break..
    Happy Days!

I've just read the match day thread on the Leeds site. Strong sense of deja vu with all the moaning and recrimination just one game into the season.
Big well done again to SLF and JFH and The Board.
One swallow does not make a spring but it's still a great way to start.

Did I hear a chorus of 'Olamide Shodipo' to the 'It's Magic' tune today? If so, it's brilliant. I thought Esteban Cambiasso couldn't be beaten for perfect scansion.

Anything on Sky or BT or any other channel, UK, Middle East or wherever, is on it if you look hard enough.

Many impressive individual performances today, but what really stood out was that we played AS A TEAM!

This extended to all that were on the bench. They were mingling with the starting eleven, looking relaxed & sharing jokes. Such a different sight to the past five years!

Leeds did look poor, BUT perhaps this was due to how we played. it was great to see us playing the ball around on the ground in the first half & trying to create.

A very pleasing opening performance. Time for a glass (or two, or three!)

Great performance today, shouldn't really single anyone out but I'm going to praise the much maligned Caulker, excellent.

He should have too much at this level. If he plays at 100% and doesn't lose concentration, he's one of the best defenders in the division for me.

Was it Caulker who dropped off and kept Antonsson onside?

I hope he comes good but if we could get rid and sign a proper right-back I'd be happy.

Aussie, any chance you'd stay asleep for all our games this season?

I'd give Henry a 7. Don't think he was as good as people are making out but then I wasn't there today. The guy playing off of Wood, Grimes, looked crap which helped. Did his primary job well but when he's got it you're just happy if he doesn't give it away. I'd still like to think he's fourth choice behind two of Luongo, Cousins and Borysiuk.

Gladwin did ok I thought. Again, overreaction on here IMO after he got a soft yellow. I wouldn't have him in the team and not at right wing for sure. Doesn't deserve the boo boy reputation he's developing.

I agree re Gladwin, with some he could play a blinder and still get a rating of 3!

Very sound overall performance today, but the real test will be our performances against Norwich / Newcastle etc

I couldn't believe the barracking that the Leeds players got at the end of the game. Not a good performance by Leeds, but that level of vitriol after one game?? I really like Gary Monk - always comes across as a balanced, honest manager - but unless he gets some wins on the board quickly the mad Italian may wield the managerial axe. Cellino comes across as even more delusional than Tango & Cash

I thought that he had a poor game today - weak in the tackle too often, and just didn't look fit

However, unlike Massive's fans I want more than one game before I write off a player

I think you're completely blinkered with regards to both Gladwin and Henry.
Gladwin was very poor today whilst Henry was quite outstanding. He is the kind of player needed in this league.
    Opinions eh?
