I get a lot of sticker my Brighton connections and thank god he didn't play. I am hoping Boro do them as mates won't concede first goal was a push. Told all my life to support my local team and played their reserves a couple of times and got beat in Sussex senior cup. Liked them when they went small but they are big headed now I can see them in free fall after Saturday Derby the form team Seagulls drop to 3rd then that's them gone and had £100 with a mate we will catch them We will have them
Never seen as many loose balls played by a player and his positioning is dreadful at times but he is one of those players that just keeps going and I expect him to eventually become our most solid player second half of the season Every player has to settle in and he will Keep going Foxes
Passion. I believe that is the word to best describe our perfomance. A fair bit of skill shown as well, but every one of them gave their all tonight. Who is the person that is going to be brave enough to tell Ale Faurlin that he needs a rest? I was a little concerned that he was going to butt Dunk & although that would have beenunderstandable, we couldn't afford to have him missing for three games!
Lol yeah he was pretty poor for us I just wondered if he would have adjusted to taking a step down to the championship again. At least he always gives 100% though and isn't afraid of a 'tactical' yellow. And cheers. I guess we are only an injury away from the wheels coming off but it is the same with most teams. Enjoying the ride though!
Firstly, congrats on your season to date. Most neutrals wish you the best, keep it up. You may wish to view our thread on your demolition of Chelsea last night - awesome !! Konchesky, probably our weakest link atm, wouldn't be surprised if a replacement was #1 priority on our January shopping list.
Good performance tonight and a cracking atmosphere in the second half. It would have been travesty if we had lost - we should have had a penalty for handball in the first half and there was a blatant push on Sandro for their first goal. Henry ducked a tackle for their second and then Green dived over the shot. Faurlin was class again and there were good performances from Hoilett and Phillips - and then there was Charlie!
Errrh just a bit! Austin answered my doubts about his ability to play up front alone tonight. He was very good in the role the whole 90. For once Someone else was usually in the box giving him support too. His goals when they finally came were quality finishes. The 2nd a great combination of his strength and skill.
http://www.skysports.com/footballleague/championship/video/10101247/qpr-2-2-brighton Boring ad at the beginning, but good highlights package, we clearly deserved more. Sandro went down very easily and Green will have trouble looking at himself in the mirror tomorrow morning. Faurlin obviously thinking of his multiple injuries with his reaction to that dreadful tackle by Dunk.
Well, what a night in W12. Loftus Road, the home of passion, guts and glory and some serious determination not to be outdone by a Brighton team who are well organised but, as we proved tonight, not all that special. So glad to have knocked them off the top spot. Very pleased with the team performance tonight. The determination grew with each goal we conceded and each ridiculous refereeing decision that went against us until at last the ref got a key decision right and sent off their man for a leg breaker on Ale Faurlin. Charlie was a man on fire after we went 2 nil down but, frankly, they all were. How we did not score from that corner I will not know until I've watched it in slomo and Matt Phillips was unlucky with his strike at the death that skimmed the outside of the upright. QPR gave good account of themselves in front of the Sky cameras and the home crowd had a thrilling last 15 mins while the away fans waited nervously. In fairness, however, they provided excellent support for their team. It was very hard to pick a MOTM since it was a superb team effort. Hard to choose between Charlie, Ale and Grant imo. Thank you Jimmy Floyd and the players. A great evening's entertainment.
Great result tonight & much better performance. Echo others, Charlie, Ned, Hoilett all great tonight, but Ale MOTM again. Onwards & upwards.
Thanks for posting this mate. We should have won 7:2!!!! Charlie's header was magnificent since the Brighton player was trying to wrestle him to the floor as he scored! So unlucky Matt!
We were right in line with the Brighton shot for the second. It was At hall who seemed to move out of its way.. and it took a deflection of him...definitely moved in the air.are defeated green, who seemed to dive over the ball.. A lot of bad luck in that goal.....and in Phillipsvshot beating the keeper and coming off the post. The place was rocking tonight...the players believe, we believe, Jimmy believes.. Based on tonight...we can do it... Let's see what Saturday brings
Charlie MOM for me. He rescued a point. Bruno and especially Calderón (sp! ) were excellent for Brighton - wouldn't mind nicking them if we still want to strengthen our back line a bit. Unless the youngsters are ready I still think it needs strenghening, and Perch could have got a season ending injury tonight.
Very happy with two all as Brighton are unbeaten as yet (Sorry and please correct me if that's not the case) Let't hope we can build on this and carry if forward. Us to go up while Chelsea drop down... I have a dream Up the Rangers
Was never a penalty, defender has his back turned. Was a tiny nudge on the first Brighton goal but Sandro went down easier than a cheap whore If the QPR defender had decided to try win the ball rather than grab hold of Dunk's shirt for the initial header back across would probably have never got to him. Ironic that 2 goals from corners came from the defenders trying to wrestle the man rather than win the actual ball
Didn't think so...not for a wet, cold Tuesday night for a televised match. About 3000 Brighton fans too. No thought it was relatively full .....considering.... And did I say the place was rocking
