That is so true superman wears etc. IMO it would be nice if your team could survive from "second year curse" with new manager. Lambert, however was the best young manager in the country by mile so it could be a tricky task. This thread was originally about QPR's new stadium, so i like to know is there anyone (norwich supporters) who thinks that our stadium project would end differently than pompeys...?
I suppose anyone who isn't a kid who bothers to type out. Hahaha.................. Ahhaha.............. Must be a bit thick, unless you're a teenage girl, then you're excused
Err- we're on a thread about stadium capacity, which concerns supporter numbers. Are you seriously thick?
So we can only talk about what the thread title reads? Thanks for enlightening me on some house rules I didn't know existed.
Well I can't be arsed to read all the way back, but your quote is hilarious. There is no comparison between your investors who seem to mouth off every other week and the positively reticent Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour. Seems far more like Mandaric to me. Ultimately, Norwich fans know we should be suspicious of your lot because Delia firmly rejected their overtures for Norwich. She must have smelled something dodgy about them, and we all know how good her sense of smell is!
Why does anyone (other than rangers fans) care if QPR build a new stadium with a moat and fecking crocodiles to keep the chelsea fans out? This thread baffles me.
Rob, you've stated that you haven't read the whole thread, hence the lack of understanding on your part. By you suggesting that Northolt's comments have to be in some way linked to the title of the thread because it says stadium capacity just goes to show your lack of understanding and sheer ineptitude. Good luck to you this season I have a strange feeling I will be back to visit you
QPHAHA now, and putting me in your sig(honoured)! In an acronym I hear you teenage girls understand LMFAO Roberta
If you click on a thread with a clear title and read the latest post, it seems a reasonable assumption to make that the two are related. Good luck to you too. I actually think QPR will do well this year. Nothing sparks success like an easy summer. That's part of the reason if I was you lot I'd want the owners to just shut up for a while.
igor, i admire your board's ambition to build your club to be big, but i can't help thinking they have misjudged the fan base massively. there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a middle-size club and that is what you are. you are not chelsea, you are not man city. having a stadium which is too big for you would be a disaster - there has to be an element of realsim involved or it'll pull you down for years to come. you may be able to attract fans from around the globe but you will never get to a man united or chelsea level of interest. i don't think you'll find anyone who thinks you shouldn't get or indeed deserve a new stadium - that is not in question - but to build something sustainable after these rich guys have gone is important and i think one or two rangers fans have got carried away by all this. many seem to see other clubs fans questioning things happening at loftus road and assume it to be jealousy or bitterness. it really isn't the case! its easier to see what is happening from a distance sometimes and its not a coincidence that the vast majority of people will say qpr are aiming too high, far too quickly here. the new stadium should be around the 30k mark i would say, maybe 35k at a push. i really don't think that would be full all the time but to go bigger still wreaks of heart over head. your team will need to play there for the next 100 years. do you want a half empty ground every week? what happens if you go down? what happens if you suddenly lose your funding? clubs should understand and respect their natural limits - they should push the boundaries but i'm not keen on owners of clubs coming in and trying to do something which isn't feasible long term.
Good post superman which im partly agreed. IMHO is that 35.000 capacity stadium would be enough for QPR. Mind you the owners might not dream to have all the matches sold full capacity. That 45.00 capacity stadium is speculated to be multi purposed and we dont know anything more about it so lets wait first. Anyway would that stadium be 35.000 or -45.000 capacity i dont believe any level-headed QPR-fan does not think, that we are as big as manU ,arsenal or chelsea. That does not automatically mean that we would go to bankrupt either.
Have they actually said it will be 45k seater or is it just speculation? Same question goes to the price of £180 million?
Just read that Park Ji Sung was persuaded to join QPR cos they want to match Chelsea! If that's ever going to happen, it is a long way away.
i assumed it was confirmed cos an r's fan said so on here! if not then hopefully they'll be sensible. i genuinely hope they get a good new stadium which is going to benefit them in the long run. i know some of their fans are moronic on here but this could really make their club if they can get it sorted. we all want our ground increased to 35k, which i'm sure it will in the next two years, so we know what it'll mean to them. i just wish they didn't always play the 'rich' card - their club is not rich - their owners are, and thats a big, big difference.
Completely agree with all you say. I assumed it had been announced after what their fans have said but I haven't seen anything official. Seems overly ambitious for the minute if you ask me, not sure the club can grow quickly enough to make it worth while. If we can stay in the prem another 2 seasons a 35k stadium will be fantastic and I feel that would be our optimum size. Also any QPR fans who think they can pay off a 180 million stadium in 10 years because there are other events there as well as football are dreaming imo
No it will never happen, and I never said it would. My point was, it is fairer to compare the calibre our investors, to the people at those clubs, rather than the Pompey fly by nights. Make that my last post on this thread, & WTF it's got to do with you's, I'll never know! MYOB you nosey ****s
