Plus I thought no he was 2 yd too far out of his goal, if he’s nearer his line he saves it.For messi goal the goalie went down in slow motion and should have saved it.

Unfortunately missed that game milky but I'd imagine if we did make it as far as the quarter finals then the French would be too strong for us ?Re messi goal - It’s always genius when a superstar scores. Who can forget gareth bale’s amazing penalty against the USA.
Yesterday there was a puke inducing mbappe w*nkathon going on after a scuffed first goal and one off his thigh from 2 yards for the second. Yes I know he had to be there etc. But the story of the second French goal wasn’t ‘great cross great finish’ as we heard… but Rasmus (who otherwise had a good game) switching off at the back post (sound familiar Leeds fans?) AND more relevantly - terrible goal keeping from schmeichel - which never got a mention.
We English have become immune to little Scotland being jealous because we are taking part. Only two teams make the final and i would rather get knocked out than lose the final. There should be another cup played for by emerging third world nations that scotland could qualify for with some luckWe Celts live in hope ....
Looking forward to england 0 - Wales 8.
Well, why not think that? Some people are really ridiculous & think england can win it! Someone should tell them that Santa isn't real, & it doesn't matter how many letters they send up the chimney - even Santa can't do it!
Btw, I find Southgate insufferable. Imagine you did win it - his fcuking face would be on the telly & all the papers every day for at least 50 years.![]()
Next World Cup is 48 teams, so some hope for the "emerging" nations. We English have become immune to little Scotland being jealous because we are taking part. Thought they changed their minds on that because they think it will affect crowds as the qualifier games would effectively become irrelevant.Next World Cup is 48 teams, so some hope for the "emerging" nations.

Jammy Junior reckons we've brought a half fit Kyle Walker to try and nullify Mbappe's pace should that match ever by the way.

schmrichel should of come and destroyed Mbappe, just like Mrs Shilton on Maradonna all them yrs ago.Re messi goal - It’s always genius when a superstar scores. Who can forget gareth bale’s amazing penalty against the USA.

does that help ‘declining’ nations like Scotland who peaked in the 70’s. When I say peak, it’s a relative thing obviously
Don't think so much to my disappointment.Thought they changed their minds on that because they think it will affect crowds as the qualifier games would effectively become irrelevant.
Maybe l’m thinking about the EurosDon't think so much to my disappointment.
1974 team was (approx) 50-50 LUFC and Rangers. With Bremner as captain. So yes it was pretty good. Unbeaten and never outplayed in their group which included Brazil and a very good Yugoslavia. Went out on GD. I’m biased but Bremner the best player on the pitch in all 3 games.does that help ‘declining’ nations like Scotland who peaked in the 70’s.
