Boring
Argentina 75% possession no shots
Boring
Not watching but just dibd into bbc to see what was going on

You’re not listening to the right pundits. Other assertions.
Declan Rice - the best, most complete midfielder in the world.
Bellingham - world at his feet, worth 150 million plus.
Kane, Sterling, Saka - No county has a better front three
What a load of bollocks!!!!!

I hope the FA has got them under achieving cnuts called referees watching Argie v Mexico match.
Now you useless cnuts, that’s how an official gets full control of the game from KO.

The disappointing thing with England is they have the creative players to possibly win the thing if they just Bielsa'd it and went for it every game. Sure they'd lose every now and then but if they got themselves on a good run they could be unstoppable.

Instead we have Southgate who is just a coward hoping not to get beat against sides he doesn't think we can bully.
To be fair, if we dropped this crap why do we think we should always win it?

I don't think we 'should always' win it.

I think we can beat anyone on our day and anyone can beat us on our day as some of the smaller nations have shown. Tournament football is tough, you need the squad, alot of discipline, in form players, a manager, luck of the draw and alot of good fortune.

I don't think we are the best side in it. We are quite a way short of Argentina, Brazil, France. We are certainly in that 2nd group of teams that if circumstances are just right can go close. The biggest issue is the manager. He's a coward in his squad selection and his tactics.

I just want to enjoy the game but Southgate just wants to stifle and stink the place out. I'd rather go out swinging.

Only swinging your lot might see

Overrated players coached by an overrated manager hyped up by a frenzied media….

What could possibly go wrong<confused> oh yeah I know, the same thing that goes wrong every tournament.

Groundhog Day :emoticon-0136-giggl
We Celts live in hope .... :1980_boogie_down:

Looking forward to england 0 - Wales 8. <laugh>

Well, why not think that? Some people are really ridiculous & think england can win it! Someone should tell them that Santa isn't real, & it doesn't matter how many letters they send up the chimney - even Santa can't do it! <doh>

Btw, I find Southgate insufferable. Imagine you did win it - his fcuking face would be on the telly & all the papers every day for at least 50 years. <wah>

There has to be a reason England can look brilliant if they play someone with weaknesses but clueless when they meet better opposition.
Especially as, genuinely, some of our players are excellent in their clubs, well in week our where they play top opposition.

my theory is we have a lot of superb athletes with good individual skills but without too many brain cells. In club football there’s a few other players (non British) who do the thinking, ours supply the athleticism and ball skills.

put them all into an England team and it’s headless chicken time.

just a theory
