I can’t believe that the likes of Friedman & Bremner etc have got to where they are in life by being taken in by wide boys.
Regardless of whether you believe Methven, Rodwell & Scott have had 2/3 or even 4 transfer windows, they have presided over 3 unsuccessful managerial appointments, a succession of disastrous transfers in & out of the club, and our worst league position in 100 years last season, with every chance of that being replicated, or worse, this season.
It was Methven & Rodwell who both publicly stated that a promotion challenge was the minimum requirement this season, and would be delivered on the back of 8 elite players in the squad. Where are those 8 elite players ?
Andy Scott is absolutely nicking a living in football. He’s hated by the majority at Sparrows lane for being an arrogant fvcker, and is never held accountable for his bad decisions incl falling out with Holden and George Dobson, both to the detriment of the club.
Who believes this SMT is more interested in the welfare of the club, rather than making a few quid for themselves before bailing out ?
That said, you’ve got to have Brian Clough- like genius to have Brian Clough-like gobbiness and arrogance, and Nathan Jones is miles off the former, if not the latter.
I suspect this soon ends with “we backed Nathan with his choice of players and it hasn’t worked out” ….
