After his ill judged twitter comments I can see Nicola playing hard-ball and keeping Puncheon but not playing him to teach him a lesson. My guess is Cortese would put principles before the money and might make an example of him. Views?

I think it can only be a good thing its like having a new signing as long as he sorts his attitude out and gets on with the job in hand.

I am extremely happy with this, some player mature later than others! Let's face it he will be extremely keen to impress and nobody has much has doubted his talent! Only a good thing at this stage!

Heh, have a feeling that his change of heart probably is less a sign of sudden-onset maturity than a realization (on his part or his agent's) that eighteen months training with the Academy wouldn't be so great for his career after all.

Yes it certainly puts NC into a different light, I wonder who gave JP a grown up talking to? It says he admitted that he was in the the wrong, and has made a full apology, takes a strong will to do that in the circumstances, it may be that his Twitter nonsense was picked up by his mates and he was given sensible advice on his future actions, hopefully lessons learned by all, and that we will benefit from someone that puts his boots to work to our advantage and keeps his foot out of his mouth. Those that continue to 'dis' him on here, should step back and consider how they would have reacted in the same situation, although we don't know all the facts it always takes two to make war.
I'm sure there's a little bit of us struggling to capture our targets during the transfer window so WE opened the lines of communication with him. I'm sure he was keen to make amends a few months back although probably wasn't prepared to go about it the right way. With his actions over the weekend, an apology has become further necessary!
He'll know too that if he plays one more game for us, he's with us for the season, so it makes absolutely no sense to start throwing toys around from the pram......which can only be good for us. I just hope the other players are as forgiving.
