Yes - back to you
Thanks, BB.

Thirty years ago exactly, our top two appearance makers were Gibbs and Porter. How many appearances had they each made for Watford up to this point? Sounds crazily hard? Well, not really. You can answer for both of them using only two different digits, e.g. 717 and 171.

There’s enough detail here. Look at yorkie’s work plus the parameters I’ve set. Matej said it’s either this or that and he was right first time. You don’t have to know the players, but I’ll focus you on yorkie’s work that they had both achieved at least 300 appearances.

Presuming that 0 qualifies as a digit in its own right. Then two three digit numbers which begin and end with a 3 - presumably with only one other digit between them (the same one in both cases) - I'll say 383 for both figures (question mark <doh>)

No. Because that would make one 383 and one 838.
3 is one of the digits. <ok>

Wow. Was it this from Port Vale in 2022?

All yours Andy <applause> Vale beat Sutton United 2-0 on March 26th 2022 to complete the record, which will stand until any complete newbies come up from the National League (which seldom happens these days with so many ex league clubs down there). Port Vale had previously gained this record in the 90s and subsequently lost it. Lemmy Kilminster (front man with Hawkwind and Motorhead) was born locally (in Burslem) and has a statue dedicated to him outside Vale Park. I'm not sure if any other clubs come close to this. Take it away.

That's superb, cologne. <applause>

Which football club was the first West German club to play Watford at Vicarage Road and what was the score?
