    Cheers Andy

Which Everton player walked out of the club after a "physical confrontation" with one of the coaching staff who had called him a "kangaroo bastard"?

    Charlie Perkins.....

IN 1957 he was invited to trial with English first division team Liverpool F.C. Perkins ended up trialling and training with Liverpool's city rival Everton F.C. While at Everton Perkins had a physical confrontation with the Everton reserve grade manager after being called a "kangaroo bastard". After this incident, Perkins left Everton to move to Wigan where he worked as a coal miner at the Mosley Common Colliery alongside Great Britain rugby league player Terry O'Grady. Perkins played two seasons for leading English amateur team Bishop Auckland F.C. between 1957 and 1959. Perkins in mid-1959 decided to return to Australia after trialling with Manchester United.[4]

    His story is very interesting....

That's him. He was a very interesting character - very vocal on the subject of Aboriginal Rights. I was introduced to him in the mid-90s - I had spent five years as Aboriginal contact officer in the Public Service regional office I worked in - he was very bemused to find out that I was a 'white fella'.

    Over to you

In fairness to the Everton coach it was an expression he’d picked up from Prince Philip.

We once knocked a team out of the League Cup whose manager was later our manager. Their squad included a twice-later Watford caretaker manager; a stalwart midfielder who played for the Hornets and is now back at our club; a player who was very badly injured in his only game for WFC; another player who finished his career with Watford, but only played about 10 minutes for us; and a vile piece of work (allegedly ;)) who very briefly coached some of our youngsters.
Name the team, the manager and all those players and the date!

Yes. The rest should follow. If the bad injury wasn’t the worst ever at the Vic, it was the worst I ever witnessed.

No. Go for the returning midfielder. Or the really, really bad injury that meant the player only ever played that partial game for us.
