The Avalon in question is a real place, not the one of Arthurian legend. The two men in the answer are both real too.
Avalon# Glastonbury UK Or there are places called Avalon in USA and Australia.... not sure where to go here.... Greg Harrison from Avalon CA
Problem is there are so many places called Avalon. Whilst googling I found the Avalon Peninsula - a sizeable part of Newfoundland, which looks a glorious place to visit some day. Other than that I'm not getting anywhere on this one.
I wondered if it was something to do with the company Avalon Productions who have produced some programmes for BBC, but looking at the clues that's unlikely. I'm not even sure if they're still going as I haven't seen them on the end credits of a programme for a while.
OK chaps...sorry google didn't do it this time. John Hurt was born in the Chesterfield area. Blues guitarist and singer, Mississippi John Hurt, was born in Avalon (and worth a listen for his finger-picking guitar work). Over to Yorkie who got the first part right.
I am late but my answer is from earlier answers but not together John Hurt was born in Chesterfield and Greg Harrison in Avalon. Both are actors.
I have just put Stevia in some stewed pears and I do know it was banned in South Africa for a long time despite its popularity in the US.
Was the song "Sugar, Sugar" by the cartoon group The Archies banned in South Africa as one of the vocalists on it was not white?
