funny ... not! actually its more like the home end. the North Stand was closed and empty.

.. just playing with you Oregon - actually I'm really disappointed with the decline of the cup - remember a cup-tie at your (old) place late 70s (possibly early 80s) - fond memories for me - we took a hell of a good following up there and I pulled with a girl from Thurmaston during the match (we won 1-0)

,, contrast that with our tie against ?Burton where we closed two sides of the ground! ... not what it was - just look at this link to an earlier age

you and me both. but times change and we move on. was it the League Cup by any chance? we drew 3-3 at Filbert Street then won the replay 3-2. Roger Devries played something like 400 games for us, scored 2 goals, one of them that night past Shilton.

in the same year that you had that epic against Birmingham we set our record attendance of 55,000 in the 6th round.

No - FA Cup 3rd round I think - we were a (then) First Div side but were crap - Franck McLintock was our manager and he brought in many of his old playing buddies from the Arsenal double winning team (by then largely past it) - George Armstrong got the goal - I was a teenager 18 or 19 - recall we went out in the next round away at Walsall! - to a very late Alun Evans goal ...

Just looked it up 7 Jan 1978 (my mother's birthday no less) - I'd have been in the 6th form at school - not long turned 18 ...

Has anyone got a video of the big man's goal from last night? If its as good as i'm told then i'd like to see it. Have your highlights been uploaded to your version of FoxesPlayer? as far as I'm aware a subscription to any of the 'Players' means you can access them all.

love the ways he calls it "your version of Foxesplayer".. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Remiiniscent of the away end at Orient earlier this week <whistle>

Bloomfield Road*

Apparently whilst we had 613 down at Orient for a virtual reserve game against lower league opponents, Fulham had 37 at Blackpool. (according to the live text commentary thing on the BBC website on the night)
