But the big things are getting sorted.
Don't you remember where we've been under the chuckle brothers to where we are now ?
yes on the pitch the are, but at the moment off the pitch the not, and if SD isn't up for it he needs to sack him and get someone who is up for it
he's been here 2 years now and can you honestly say we have improved since he's been here with the off field stuff ,KLD him self has now admitted it's not good enough aswell and that's from are own owner, poor ****er must have an agenda against him self aswell

I was there but I was in the seats watching and laughing with my dad. **** nars how they let the daft gets back on their buses. :emoticon-0116-evilg

We'd come up from Mansfield and one of the lads, Steve Nattrass, had persuaded a work colleague to drive us in his brand new Rover SD1. He didn't go to the game and just liked driving his car so we paid for the petrol. We were walking back to him, after the game, and he waved as he saw us approaching. As we got closer his jaw dropped as he saw we were absolutely filthy with mud ...

... he locked the doors until we'd kicked off our boots and he'd put plastic bags on all the seats.

He never took us again <laugh>

Happy days though. The older I get the more I prefer the comfort of the new stadiums. But I’d be gutted if I’d missed 20odd years of mostly standing in the grounds with character.

Lots has improved, some hasn't.

The things that haven't improved will do now the owner has acknowledged it .... is my guess.

What was the Old Showground like? I've only ever been to Glanford Park.
I loved the old show ground a straight forward rectangle ground, when Glandford park was built it was on my bosses land he also built next to it a Garden centre with a huge butterfly house and a outdoor lake and a restaurant, it’s flat now and a McDonald’s and Pizza Hut is there. The road structure is already in for the new ground and then Glandford park will be flattened for more shops. A Lidl is on the Old Showground site.

That was first ever away game , when they beat us in the second round of the FA Cup.
That was some introduction to away games. I couldn't get enough after that
I was in the dressing room that day with two mates. Players weren’t treated like gods in those days.

I was a Wigan mudslider ...

... so perhaps a little too uncouth for those who depend on team announcements, hand driers and a big screen for vital messages.
We were, 6 of us stayed at Blackpool as I recall the landlady from the guest house made us strip off before we were allowed in after the match, had we not been checked in from the Thursday I doubt we would have got in at all, absolutely filthy.

it's not just a pa system though is it like you say it so small but not been sorted, so if the can't sort the small things out how are the going to manage to sort the big things out

it's all little daft stuff that's hasn't been done that makes a massive difference and it's taking abit of care of the stadium, touch of paint in some areas sorting the roof out that's leaking, daft little stuff that's would make a massive difference
You will probably find that their is daft little stuff being done everyday and I agree that it could be improved but like the on field stuff nothing happens overnight and as we know they have been looking at the stadium and hoe to improve the match day experience so for me I would not be wanting to spend thousands of pounds fixing PA system if it is going to soon be replaced and if they are going to improve things behind the scenes now is not the time to spend money there if they are looking to revamp. I don't think its about management or investment I think it is about making sound financial decisions. If there are no improvement's planned then as you say we need to fix what is broken or at the very least try to make improvements.
For me personally I would like to see safe standing areas re-introduced to maximise the space inside the ground and I always liked the atmosphere created with a load of like minded idiots jumping around cuddling each other when a goal was scored, it created a much better atmosphere at games and when we went all seated I think football in general lost something.

He’s not campaigning for himself to step down as chairman mind.

Free beer for some Newcastle supporters after the match as well. Card machines broke.

Basics.

Is Doctor Evil running the off field stuff?
