I am not far behind you fella. I have already said promotion is ours to throw away.
It's been a pretty sensational start and although I see little of the action, I am lovin' it <ok>

That's 7 in 2 games!!!!

Last night's game was always going to be tough with Brentford really going all out to beat us in a repeat of our opening game at Wolves, but NA has learnt from that and has set the team up differently.

Listening to the commentary, one of the best bits of business NA achieved in the summer was keeping hold of JR, as he kept us in the game on several occasions and I'm sure as the season progresses the others who stayed will prove their worth. VERY impressed with Jerome and he seems to have a point to prove and is obviously enjoying his football once again. Just gleaned this from his Wiki page - "In 2005–06 he was signed by Birmingham City for a fee of £3 million. He spent five years at St Andrew's where he experience two promotions and two relegations!!!" Definitely the type of striker we need if we're going to challenge for promotion. <ok>

Just to clarify - the last time I woke up to see the result was the 3-1 win against Crawley <ok>

Pulled in to 5/4 this morning. The most gratifying part is the free scoring nature of this side.Us Old Timers who can remember the John Bond days might recall his remark at the beginning of the 75/6 season after relegation. He said that Norwich had a side to "Scare the First Division to death".McDougall and Boyer proceeded to do just that. It's early days but I think 100 points and 100 goals is realistic.

7/2 clear favourites for the title as well, Florist second favourites way back at 13/2

True, TM, but Forest and Derby play tonight. I also think that our squad depth will tell over the season as a whole. I was thinking ahead to the cup game and realised the likely squad for that is a whole different quality Championship team. The other factor is those who haven't played yet (Hooper, Howson, Odjidja and McGrandles). Odjidja looked very promising in his cameo last night. OTBC!

From what I can gather Forest have a very good first team, but are not very strong after this. Didn't they ride high last season until the run in when they fell away? Stamina, injuries and suspensions could again prove their downfall. Derby could be more of a threat.

I'm still expecting Adams to go with a very youthful side as a show of faith in his young charges after they negotiated the last round successfully. But I would expect a stronger central midfield than Surman and Bennett! I think we'll see Callan-McFadden, Loza and both Murphy's for starters.

Loza looked a right handful against Crawley.

Just needs to improve his finishing a bit.

I think there will be young guns like Josh and Loza in the team or on the bench, but Hooper, Odjidja, McGrandles and Howson all need to build match fitness and the cup is better for that than a Development Squad game, IMO. Lafferty could also feature if he doesn't play against Brum.

The Scottish seem to be void of a moral compass as far as humour is concerned but as long as you realize they are joking then GC can be quite funny. Most of the contributors are actually well read intelligent people they just like to push the boundaries of good taste.
If you are offended easily stay well clear..

Well said, we've started very well and I'm extremely pleased but there's still 39 games to go.

Whoever said we're going to get 100 points and 100 goals needs to calm down a bit. I'm not saying it definitely won't happen but you can't go expecting that. It's happened four times in fourteen years this century (that's points - I'm not sure anyone has ever achieved 100 goals as well) and for us to achieve it would be remarkable.

Nobody said we're going to get 100 points and 100 goals, more that that's the target to aim for, and I personally think there's no reason we can't go for it based on the way we have started the season against tricky opposition and the fact we have some of our best players yet to make an appearance.

City have got off to a flyer (much better than last time in the Championship), with a far better team that got promoted last time. It is hard to believe anything other than promotion is in our hands.
Of course, all it takes is a few key injuries, and the wheels can come off, but until that happens and results drop off, I see this particular band-wagon only growing in strength <ok>

Thing is, with the exception of Ruddy I don't think injuries would even de-rail us this year with the strength in depth that we have. We have at least two potentially Premier League options in every position, and it would take a crazy series of injuries for us to find our squad so depleted that we wouldn't be able to pick a team confident of beating anyone in the division. Actually we have some of our key players out injured at the moment in Hooper, Howson, Bennett and Rusty and still look at the strength on our bench (Cuellar, Garrido and Loza didn't even make that last night).

We thought we'd just pop down to the Championship for a season to show you that you're still rubbish.

Cruyff's Turn said 100 points and 100 goals is 'realistic'. Sorry, but in what world is that 'realistic'? We should be aiming for promotion, and if we have to assign a number of points to that target then I'd say 85 should be the aim. I hope to be eating my words come May but 100 points should not be realistic for any club and I think there will be a lot of disappointed people on here at the end of the season if that is what we are expecting.

Agreed, 100 points while not impossible is silly talk at this time. However, 100 goals as a target is feasible as things stand <ok>

Yeah, but both points and goals have a way of evening themselves out over the course of the season so I would expect us to fall short. Don't forget, if every team continued on their current points projection until the end of the season, they'd be about five teams on 90+ points and Fulham and Blackpool would end up with about eight points each.

By the way, all this isn't to say I'm not extremely happy with how things are going; I am. Loved hearing the away support sing 'We've got our Norwich back' last night. Can't wait for my first away trip of the season - hoping to make it to Craven Cottage. <ok>
