They proposed that ****e a few years ago with "an extra game" hopping around Europe.

I still reckon this is all a ploy. They'll use this as a threat, then come back with the original Project Big Picture but with a fat sweetener for PL teams so they vote for it next time.

It’s a hollow threat though and it’ll be treated with the disdain it deserves.

They're deadly serious imo.. they want to secure the money from this for 20 years rather than worry about qualifying for the champions league.. They'll eliminate any opportunity for investment at other clubs because there wouldn't be any champions league money to gain plus the othe clubs can't offer players the chance to play on Europe, so it'll be even easier to gather up the players they want. It basically closes the show.... The threat of losing their spot on the champions league removed and the threat of takeovers would be removed in the process.. Its a win win for the bastards. They wouldnt give a **** about the league anymore, but the other clubs would have less quality and less ambition.

Hopefully it doesn't happen, but it's hard to see why they'd not want it to.. Or is there something I'm missing?

It's not going to happen mate. But the openly cynical intention in itself is bad enough and deserves the pelters it's receiving from all sides...

...except plastics like @astro <whistle>

Good, but do they care?

Club owners are merely custodians mate.

You think the majority of Kopites would go for this? Nah. We’re talking about a club who kicked off about the same Sherman’s intending to charge £75 an arse in that new stand, and who forced them into a climb down. Not a chance this is anything more than wind & piss.

i have already posted my opposition to these ****e idea however this is not a Man U & Liverpool idea rather it is being proposed by FIFA .What is noticeable by the fact that since it is a European League surely this should be led by EUFA which suggests an internal power struggle will kick off .

Why doesn’t the murderer try to bribe the authorities in his takeover quest?

might work

The Qatari’s and the Saudis are as bad a each other.. I don't actually care too much a out mega money I just want the club to move way from the lidl look, but this is the only genuine interest and I don't actually care about morals tbh.. Who makes the rules on morality? Where do you draw the line? I won't lie I'd take anyone just to see my team doing better.. I'm just being honest.. Some fans said " we don't decide on the owner" I was like stfu if you had a vote you'd vote for these Saudis. I care not one iota about what goes on in Saudi in the same way I don't care about this country making billions from arms sales for them to blow up people in yemen.

It's awful and the world is awful and I live in blissful ignorance... Do I feel guilty? Not really I'm just trying to get through my own battle.

Should I want this takeover? No I shouldn't

I don't see how this could be stopped? They're basically saying sign here to guarantee your e

Only the thing is, that you’ve never quite grasped what that failed takeover actually was mate. It was never a Sovereign state rolling up and buying a club lock stock as they had a plan to use it as a huge advertising hoarding. It was an investment that they’d been sold by Staveley who took nearly 2 years to convince them.

The actual investment that they were intending to make, that she openly stated was their ‘ambition’ was £250m over 5 years - £50m a year. Which was supposed to deliver a new training ground as well as investment in the team. In PL terms that’s a pebble in a pond mate. They were sold the idea of buying into Newcastle as an opportunity to make money. The fact that they walked when they did, shows that they weren’t that arsed and what was a relatively small investment with potential had become much more trouble than it was worth to them.

The point being, that you were happily selling your principles not for a pot of gold, merely a bag of beans.
