Perhaps it's worth saying, of course you're allowed to be negative, but you don't have to. There are positives and negatives in every team, in a season which is going pretty well, after a fantastic late win, I find it hard to understand why so many want to rush in with the negatives. Yes, you can, but why do you want to?

Two successive teams have tried to bully us off the ball but we’ve carried on playing the passing game .
On Jaden if he wants to be a top player he needs to know when to give it , he gets the ball taken off him at times when he has a man inside or outside waiting . It’s about keeping the ball , especially up the pitch . I’ve no problem with him taking players on but two people stand him up near the lines and I would bet he gets it taken off him3-4 times out of 5 . I know his unbelievable ability is fantastic but if cornered he should know when to give it . Unless he can do a Rabona of course. LOL[/QUOTE

Zaroury does it as well. I was thinking yesterday that Giles must be getting pissed off at the amount of times he overlaps or gets in space and he just ignores him.

It's not about looking for negatives.
We're discussing opinions on a message board if that's ok.
Great that we've been winning games. Let's see what the next few bring against the better teams. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised.
Yes, we have a great owner in many ways.
I'm remain unconvinced that we have a great manager. He might develop into one in future years. TWT.
We have some very talented players, but again, in spite of the individual talent we have and the number of players that have been brought in, I'm not convinced that the owner and manager have managed to craft a balanced side. One example is as Ernie posts above, we struggle against physical sides, or you could say we are fairly easily bullied. As we may see in coming games, physicality isn't just something that the struggling sides tend to have, it's something that pretty much all top sides have too. It's part of the balance needed.
How about a new rule for this board that only positive comments are allowed? #happyclappers

Be careful, don't you know you can't have an opinion that differs to the sanctimonious and self righteous OLM on a public forum designed to discuss football and different views.

Is it negatives or is it discussing ways we could improve and maybe not have to scramble a late win? We have a fantastic squad and we are doing well....but that doesn't mean we couldn't be doing better with the tools at our disposal

Anyone can post anything they like and anyone else can post a differing opinion, posting insults just makes you look a bit dim.

Because we haven't actually played well since Cardiff, and that was long overdue, and have (thankfully) been scraping wins. Long may wins continue but it would be nice to see good performances and us getting the best out of this talent.

Just like Steve Bruce's 2013 team and PB's 08 team then. We used to get loads of backs to the wall away wins then. You need to to be successful. Man City do it.
Man City really don't go 1-0 up and then start making negative change after negative change resulting in the other team dominating the second half and having to rely on John Stones to pop up and save their win in injury time.

Didn't we hit the post as well and almost put the game to bed
Yeah we did. Some people would say a player missed an easy chance to seal the win but I'm not that negative. Not sure the substitutions made and being dominated from half time onwards was the reason we broke free and hit the post either.

Its good to be winning games whilst not playing well, I'm not denying that. My issue is with people who think all is rosey (pardon the pun) when it really isn't. We look awful at times and have done for a while now. Our bench doesn't strengthen us or allow us to sit back and control a game, we look vulnerable when he starts making changes and that is a concern too.

Midfield are just so powder puff. We’ve not replaced Smallwood’s steel.

Id rather be talking about how we tore the other team a new one offensively...
Agreed. Midfield balance is killing us I feel. Slater doesn’t offer anything outstanding out of possession and is very limited in it. Tufan clearly not trusted, Morton is very good in possession, not great out of it. Seri is the most balanced.

An overly physical DM who can pass well would cost serious money in this league because they'd be such an asset.

We've clearly gone towards a slightly less physical but technical game, knowing that Seri can pass well but also put his body in the way if need be. It helps that we've got two CBs who on the whole read the game well.

Agreed. Would need to be a priority if we go up.

Alfie Jones doesn't get enough credit for me. As you say we have two good centre backs there.
