It's a fair point, maybe not do the same thing every time, as you need to keep defenders guessing, but playing short like he says does have its advantages, and seeing we are not very successful just lumping it into the box something we should try more often.
Sounds similar to what we do with Allsop's kicking. He can nail it into Delap's feet from the other end of the pitch but it's only worthwhile when he has space, so at certain times when the opposition has pressed right up onto us and their midfield has followed, leaving a bit more space around Delap, that's when he bangs it into him.
