That’s fair then, obviously there’s ongoing stuff from ages ago that people bring up but my point was specifically when an discussion goes from footie straight to a dig because they disagree rather than arguing about the point made
Coyle is the one that stands out. Naming Seri, Sharp and Connolly as examples sort of proves the point!! And "getting stuck in" is only one aspect of the underlying issue that was being flagged.
So arguing the football point that we won't finish above 14th is overly and unfoundedly negative, going to 'no one will miss you when you're dead' is fair enough is it? Jog along.
And Dawson and Maguire - as I've said on numerous occasions, neither of our two centre backs are particularly good in the air either defensively or at set pieces when we are attacking- when we play some teams, their centre backs head the ball away at almost every cross - I can almost guarantee if the ball comes across into our box, we hardly ever win the ball when challenged
Mate I have no idea about what was said and the context behind it, you two obviously have history and I don’t want to be involved I’m just saying let’s stick to the football arguments
The context is that certain posters get personal when they are reminded of the utter bollocks they posted about football. I agree. It shouldn't get personal, but it does with some on here more than others
Listening to the latest 1904 podcast and I have calmed down after Saturday. It's all about money and the figures the top three are playing with are ridiculous. I'll be happy if we finish 9th or above.
Just because we've spent a few quid doesn't mean others haven't spent more. And yeah, it pretty much is all about money in the current system of parachute payments. You'd hope that Kieran Maguire spelling out that our average wage is still 'a good amount' lower than the championship average and our recent spending only makes us competitive comparable with the likes of Preston, Millwall and Bristol etc might bring a bit of realism to expectations. But I doubt it will cos a lot of folk won't want to hear it.
I no more enjoyed yesterday and recent performances than many on here but FFS the absolute rubbish thinking Mcann might have unfortunately physics kicks in as much as they might push or try to win a 50/50 if the other guy is heavier / stronger/ taller even he’ll win more than you . People also forget ball players try to come away with the ball often before they’ve won it , so it’s not a block as a priority and IMO they tend to be softer in the attempt to keep the ball under control should they win it . Tufan is a case where he uses his upper body really well but as on Saturday he’s very half hearted in one on one foot challenges - some others do it too . Doesn’t help !
Didn't bother bud, just slapped a couple of slices of Hovis either side of them. I know what you're all thinking... Disgusting... Well I didn't have any Warburtons in.
that was a header from a header from a set piece - the last one I remember was Pelkas header but there must have been more since - however, not a set piece
