That's when I called for his head that season. And again, based on the context he was only righting his own wrong anyway.
What's been unreasonable? As far as I can tell, people think we should be creating way more chances ( very reasonable ). We should have more points then we have ( again very reasonable and LR has said the same ). LR is to rigid for the most part ( again very reasonable). He plays people needlessly out of position ( again reasonable). We are to slow at moving the ball forward ( again reasonable ).... Feel free to point out anything I've missed that is unreasonable criticism.
Sorry, this is a complete rewrite of history. At the start of March, we were 5/6 points off the top that season having played a few games more. We were in a sticky run of form and it looked like we weren’t going to do it. Credit does go to McCann for changing that, but there were genuine concerns we weren’t going to go up that season. But shouldn’t that be the same for Rosenior?
Yep. Some on here were hoping we got ****ed on a weekly basis, some even hoped we got relegated to ram home their point!!
I'd say if Rosenior takes a squad just outside the playoffs to getting relegated bottom, then looks like he's spaffing it up with the strongest squad in L1 than I'd say relentless criticism at least had some basis in rationale.
It isn't at all, people where after him all season. If LR gets us up I'm certain absolutely everyone will be happy. But it really doesn't change the fact people can discuss and debate the things that are happening right now.... If we all had a crystal ball or the benefit of hindsight then we'd be millionaires
Yes, sorry to make my point clearer, Rosenior should also be given the opportunity to clear up a sticky run of form, especially having brought in new players
Swansea beat west brom away recently too didn't they? Don't think WBA were integrating what's essentially a new forward line that day either.
But he was starting from a net negative. There is no way we should have gone down. Rosenior is copping a similar level of flack, despite improving us. The perspective is all over the place. People think he should be doing better, which is fine. But the majority of responses when we lose are about his total managerial ability not being good enough, and the cliches about his play style. None of which are why we lost the game yesterday,
Who isn't giving Rosenior an opportunity?Ultimately, the owner of this Club makes the decisions on who runs the on-field activity, that's Liam Rosenior, and he's been backed by the owner to bring in the players he thinks will improve our performances... A couple of people posting their opinion in ****ing cyberspace is neither here or there to the Turk.
Unfortunately the son in law is a WS fan but he’s entitled he’s from there . His thoughts are that Leeds have had almost the same squad all season and they are now reaping the rewards of that with a capable manager as the players all understand each others movement etc - he also suggests we have many new players who will take time to gel .B because he’s one of their fans you could dismiss his opinion but he’s got some points hasn't he ?
If the criticism was limited to that, and was balanced by an acknowledgment of the steady progress he's made then I doubt people would be saying it's unreasonable. But we all know that's not been the case.
As again stated on his and tans recent tigers plus chat. As long as we get season on season progress then Liam will be backed again. 8th or above this season would be seen as progress.
Absolutely, Acun will make his own decisions. But nothing is being helped by people whipping up the ‘he’s not the man for the job’ line when he’s had a new forward line for 2 games. Let’s see where we are at the end of the season. He might not be, but this debate every time we lose is not helpful.
For the record, I have two issues with us at the moment. How slowly we attack and square pegs in round holes. These are the two biggest reasons we're dropping points (when Christie isn't playing). I'm not fussed about the rest - even the playing around at the back. We're better at it now than last season. On rare occasions it can set us off on the attack. More often than not the ball ends up back where it started unfortunately but I can accept that that's how we're going to play. My other potential gripe is the mentality but because I've no solid evidence one way or the other and I'm making assumptions about what I think the mentality might be, I can't firmly nail my flag to that mast. It just seems to me that we're far too casual. Not a big issue when we're playing someone 'better' than us, but with the quality we have through the side now we should be able to put some teams to the sword. I can't think there's been many times we've done that this season.
Can’t disagree with any of that. I’m hoping the square pegs in round holes will change now we have multiple strikers and wingers. Im hoping as this forward line gets used to each other things will quicken up. Let’s see
Yes,so in answer to my question,he is being given the opportunity and Illicali will make the call? A handful of posters questioning Rosenior's ability to coach will not make one iota of a difference to the owner and let's not forget that some of those questioning Rosenior, pay their dues to the Club and British Rail. I see this debate as neither helpful or unhelpful in the same way I see knee-jerk reaction and talk of promotion after a scraped win against dross opposition.
I didn't see square pegs in yesterday's lineup. What I did see as a very nonchalant and casual bank of 3 forwards behind the striker, all of whom are clearly better than we saw yesterday, none of who've played regularly over the last few months let alone played together much and performances like that do sometimes happen whilst a new forward line settles in. Most would accept that performance is a bit of an anomaly and we were off our usual levels, so folk trying to justify making a systemic or personal issue they've been making since he was appointed based on that is just knee jerk bollocks imho.
while its possible ofcourse, i feel its probably unlikely we get promoted this season and that's okay leicester and southampton and leeds scum are miles ahead of the rest i think the relegated teams next season wont be but atm connolly, delap, morton, giles, carvalho, zourary, ohio, sharp and some others wont be here next season unless new deals/loans are done have we put too much eggs in one basket this season? or am i wrong
When we win were getting promoted and when we lose the manager is **** and the owner will walk away. It's nonsense.
