Boo hoo. I have had that happen to me in my walk of life a few times. Never behaved like a spoilt bairn and refused to work. Mainly because I know news travels and I would be looked on as untrustworthy. Footballers are a coddled bunch, thanks to agents, who think they are above the rules of a working man. Imagine not wanting to work because something has changed? Not sure what you think is right mate, but for me that is pathetic. If it were a one off I would think like some of you and give him some grace. He is tarnished goods. You can defend him because he had an offer withdrawn if you like, but to me it is pathetic and Pritchard leaves another club with fans rightly thinking he has no good grace. Sad times if his behaviour is defensible.
Great post if you don't mind me saying.

You always say players need protecting and it's a hard business. They need time and need support, now it's ,"boo hoo" why ?

He didn't actually refuse to player on his terms btw. That's why he didn't get fined , the club and all the players send fair well messages and he got his move. Look at it all and it's clear what's happened man.
I have never defended a player who refused to play. He let his teammates down, badly. I support young players at all times, Pritch was meant to be a leader. He failed his leadership role. It was poor in the very least on his part. He has gone, and wont be remembered fondly by me. Let me tell you, as a coach if a player makes themselves unavialable it is a massive gut punch. Horrendous. He was a good player for us, his legacy though is ruined.

The thing is though, Pritchard has a history of really bad behaviour at the end of his time at clubs so why should I now believe he acted innocently when every piece of genuine information, not rumour, suggests he acted incorrectly just like he has at other clubs.

I don't care about other clubs. I care about us. I know about us. That's it. Been dragged into this again.

Jesus man.

I said he wouldnt play on the day due to his contract - didn't.

I said he wouldn't be fined - didn't

I said he would be allowed to leave with no fuss and minimal fee - was

I said players would massively miss him - they have and posted

I said he would get a better deal and move on - he has

Waste of my energy this thread.

It's ok. The club did not perform well here. Calm down.

He was told not to play. That's it. Say no more.

I expect to see him take the club to court then for suggesting he refused to play.

Look folk arent going to agree on who is in the wrong here - all hear say as to what has happened

What i would say it was probably a win win for all. Pritchard got his longer term deal he wanted and we move on from a player that wasnt in long term plans (we will miss him at times this season tho)

All about opinions tho

He refused to play a game for us, simple as that for me

None of us know exactly what has happened, the club keep all that close to their chests. Pritchard got a better contract offer elsewhere n wanted to leave - thats fine but you never ever refuse to play

When you refuse to play you are letting dwn the fans who pay hard earned money to go watch the club we love

Pritchard forgot that imo - hes got history for being unprofessional aa well

I dont care what others opinions are on it as its up to them to make up their minds on what has happened n who is in the wrong. Ill not have a dig at folk if they think the club is wrong n pritchard was in his rights to refuse to play (or say hes not in a fit state of mind) - each to their own

Im a strong believer that you dont refuse to play for the fans (we are the club not Speakman n co) who are the ones that pay your wages
Spot on. Wonder how he’s coping without his sexy massage from those that haven’t stopped talking about him for the last month. He’s a largely warm, rarely hot, sometimes cold player. Occasionally looked a threat, made other players tick but rarely created goal scoring chances. Totally exaggerated how good he was so he can be used as a stick to beat the club and Beale with.

You say you don't care about other clubs, yet I'm sure you've referred to other clubs in your belittling of Beale....

Still can't believe this is still rumbling on lol

It's not at all clear.

I asked you to clarify and you accused me of playing detective and that I go go through all the threads to work it out.

You claimed you didn't have time to simply say what had happened yet here you are again playing word games with Bob. I believe you've heard gossip from Mowbray, Pritchard or someone but the story, and timeline, about this mystery contract don't make sense.

Whatever happened Pritchard has had Birmingham's pants down, they seem like a club in a big mess tbh.

He's an ageing injury-prone player who can barely last a full game. He'll have no resale value yet has managed to land a well paid two and a half year deal during which he'll never manage a full season ...

... if I was a Birmingham fan I'd be thinking there's some serious nepotism going on with Uncle Tony.

If they really tripled his wages they are absolute mugs tbf.

Makes you wonder how pally Mowbray is with his agent.
