Give up m8, those who are desperate to be negative and provocative will be negative and provocative, no matter what the logic is, no matter what’s said officially, they’ll still post it, until the next thing rears its head.

There doesn't need to be a 'next thing' - that's the entire point of asking the questions.

Asking the questions where bud? On an internet discussion forum with maybe 100 participants? Or to the club? The same club who’ve answered the questions btw, Pritchard is a ****, while I liked him when he played for us, 40 yrs ago I would have given my right knacker to play for this club, he was disloyal to the shirt and to us, he was contracted to the end of the season and said he wouldn’t play. If it’s right they wouldn’t pay him a bit more and not give him an extra year, well that’s tough, he shouldn’t have signed a three year contract if he wasn’t happy with it. **** him, I hope he is a complete flop and he ends up on the tube with a few Milwall who remind him of his hammers celebrations last year. Rant over

I've got to be honest, I don't see any of the things that people are arguing over as being that bad. There are definitely things that the club could be doing better (ticketing, merchandise, for example) but none of them add up to a crisis. Things like Pritchard and the bar are open to conjecture, and most of the criticism is based on rumour. Without concrete evidence, which we're never likely to get, the club appears to me to be in no worse a place than it was before all of this blew up in December.

Well it’s canny obvious to be fair, he’s only missed out one of our stars that could fetch £20m plus. :emoticon-0105-wink:
If it is him, I used to work with his uncle at RR, he’s a cracking lad.

Pritchard has a terrible habit of making decisions that backfire. He was not good enough for Spurs and Poch told him to go and find another club. Brighton and Chris Hughton wanted him big time, was on his way there (literally in the car) when Norwich rang with their parachute money. Brighton got promoted, beating Norwich 5-0 along the way and Pritch and Hoolahan competed for a Norwich spot. Just starting to come good at Norwich when Huddersfield want him - makes it clear he wants to go and does. We all know how that turned out. Does a decent job here, but sullies it with his exit. Is he just another mediocre mercenary? Sadly that may well be how history judges him. Had talent, but maybe not as much as he thought. Backed up by the distinct lack of clubs queuing up to take him off our hands. He is at the journeyman status now I think. Oh what could have been had he looked closely at the footballing choice of Brighton at the time. He spurned a team on the up, feels a bit like he has done that again with us.

I think I posted about the Brighton fiasco a week or so ago, it looks more and more that he has the morals of an alley cat.

Def allowed to say it but fans can still have the right to be raging that a player refused to play for the club we love

It’s not a good look for Pritchard but mental health issues have been mentioned and they can lead to bad decisions, rash actions and self-tucking. I have first hand experience of this.

My theory is that he really took to Tony Mowbray, who I consider a great man manager and decent bloke now he’s left, and having him taken away rattled Pritchard no end.

Something happened with his contract to make him feel unwanted, which set off his MH issues, he lost perspective and acted out to get a move back to Uncle Tony as soon as he could.

I’m sorry things ended as they did but I feel quite protective of Pritchard. Things must’ve gone badly wrong to go from £15m prospect to hoofing it in League One.

Boo hoo. I have had that happen to me in my walk of life a few times. Never behaved like a spoilt bairn and refused to work. Mainly because I know news travels and I would be looked on as untrustworthy. Footballers are a coddled bunch, thanks to agents, who think they are above the rules of a working man. Imagine not wanting to work because something has changed? Not sure what you think is right mate, but for me that is pathetic. If it were a one off I would think like some of you and give him some grace. He is tarnished goods. You can defend him because he had an offer withdrawn if you like, but to me it is pathetic and Pritchard leaves another club with fans rightly thinking he has no good grace. Sad times if his behaviour is defensible.

Say what you like mate. Whether you defend his behaviour is entirely debatable though. Being offered something, then having it revkoed, is hardly unique. Agents are a precious bunch and a lad saying he cant play is not defensible for me. Been there and always worked. Simple as that.

You always say players need protecting and it's a hard business. They need time and need support, now it's ,"boo hoo" why ?

He didn't actually refuse to player on his terms btw. That's why he didn't get fined , the club and all the players send fair well messages and he got his move. Look at it all and it's clear what's happened man.

The thing is though, Pritchard has a history of really bad behaviour at the end of his time at clubs so why should I now believe he acted innocently when every piece of genuine information, not rumour, suggests he acted incorrectly just like he has at other clubs.

    All about opinions tho

He refused to play a game for us, simple as that for me

None of us know exactly what has happened, the club keep all that close to their chests. Pritchard got a better contract offer elsewhere n wanted to leave - thats fine but you never ever refuse to play

When you refuse to play you are letting dwn the fans who pay hard earned money to go watch the club we love

Pritchard forgot that imo - hes got history for being unprofessional aa well

I dont care what others opinions are on it as its up to them to make up their minds on what has happened n who is in the wrong. Ill not have a dig at folk if they think the club is wrong n pritchard was in his rights to refuse to play (or say hes not in a fit state of mind) - each to their own

Im a strong believer that you dont refuse to play for the fans (we are the club not Speakman n co) who are the ones that pay your wages
