I've not seen him this preseason, but my previous view on Sam is that he won't make it.

Earlier, I typed out a long-winded version of what you've just written there FLT, and then felt such a **** for doing so that I changed it to I'm still waiting for Sam Gallagher.

I don't think he'll cut it and I've never thought he'd cut it. I would be highly delighted to be wrong but I've never seen anything to write home about. And I feel quite awful having that opinion of his ability, because I like to say nice things about up and coming players.

I agree entirely. Even when he came in for Lambert for a few games, he didn't quite seem to have the extra 10%.

Shame, but no point us just hoping, we need to be to the point. He could still have a good career lower down the leagues.

I only watched the last 30mins or so of the game, who played No5? he seemed to cover an awful lot of ground and looked a good player as well.

Groningen going in far too hard for a friendly.

Don't Groningen have a "Koeman Stand"? - conspiracy theory for their over zealous play

Or a miss-communication on the instruction "hit the target"

From their displays on the pitch, I think we should move on McQueen & Isgrove permanently. Turnbull barely featuring is not a good sign for him either

McQueen is playing out of position. Isgrove and Turnbull will probably need to seek careers elsewhere, though.

Turnbull & Olomola came home early - they played for the U23s yesterday.
